one piece/GODA doesn't show darkness through violence. They show darkness through real life events/concepts like discrimination, prejudice, slavery, racism, dictatorship, abuse of power, terrorism, etc etc. And the best part? This is all hidden amongst the colorful scenes, comedy and adventure aspect of one piece. People's death might not hurt in one piece and they might not die easily. What hurts more is these dark scenes because you can actually relate this to our real world.
