Idk if this is just me but this was the first time I felt like I reading a classic One Piece chapter in a long time exactly what I’ve been waiting for. No hype or no powerscaling agendas (this stuff has its place but when it’s dominating the series 👎🏻) just good story execution with actual depth and emotion. I actually care about Kuma now and seeing how this concludes

@@varnim I see a lot of people complain about too much powerscaling and agenda telling ppl to just enjoy the story but that’s exactly the point. When you’re at the point where you’re more excited about seeing if your scaling gets proven correct than actually enjoying the story it’s probably a sign that the quality has dropped The story has never completely gone away we might still get good themes/narratives but what’s kinda hard to explain is execution is just as important as your ideas. Before this chapter I was thinking Kuma’s flashback was already/mostly over and that the concepts presented would just feel 1-2 dimensional again like with Koby-Garp-Aokiji relationship for example But now I feel like yeah I have reason to care and the potential for a powerful conclusion is high. Which all in hindsight makes the previous chapters and Luffy most likely confronting Saturn better

Doesn't really makes sense for him to be an Admiral since not even Kuzan and Sakazuki were admirals at the time. We don't know exactly when but we already know that Dragon was gone from the Marines by the time O'Hara happened and Kuzan was a vice admiral and so was Sakazuki. He could've been a vice admiral but definitely not Admiral class

Crackpot theory: They keep bringing up age of the old and young people in Sorbet Kingdom, where Bonney’s fruit can temporarily modify one’s age (with a potential cost like Kuma’s?). Kuma no longer had to take the pain of the old people. And everyone wanted to stay young forever, but potentially because of the drawback of using her power, Kuma didn’t want Bonney to go through that, so he teleported her own daughter, where the civilians thought he killed his own daughter. This, along with removing their chance for eternal youth caused Kuma to be known as a tyrant

It was all speculation when we said Dragon was a part of the Marines before. But now that it’s confirmed, Dragon’s got my respect by noticing that the WG is corrupted AF when he was with the Marines. THANK GOD there’s an actual reasonable Marine who was like “Fuck that” all together and truly left and truly went against the WG. For reals, if the Main Character wasn’t Luffy it would be Dragon.
