Yamato doesnt call herself Oden because shes sees herself as a man. Yamato sees what Oden represented, sees what he accomplished and was a part of, and sees all samarai as some of the most respectable people on the planet. Thus, she wants to be like Oden above all else, to the point that she refers to herself as Oden much like a child who would playfully refer to themselves as superman. Shes been imprisoned and mistreated/abused since childhood. The way i see it her fascination/obsession with samarais and Oden are VERY childlike and comparable. However, I believe shes fully aware and comprehends the impact of the things written in Odens Log book, which only fuels her more as an adult. She just never lost that childlike luster when it came to calling herself Oden(which is understandable seeing as she has been isolated and never around other children/normal people).

Because "he" himself wants to be considered and called a man as "he" wants to be kozuki oden. Which is a man, "he" explicity says this in the chapter, go re-read it maybe.

It's either that or just respecting Oda's choice and calling her a female, which he confirmed that she is. I am not the one who needs to do some re-reading here.

Naruto was special from the start. Luffy wasn't. He isn't techincally joyboy, either the fruit made him a bit of joyboy or his awakened form is joyboy, *or* having the fruit and wanting to liberate everyone makes you joyboy. I dont see why some ppl got annoyed at it.

I think Luffy's Fruit having what we call Magicarp power fits very well: The true Chosen One would have to start with a seemingly useless power, make it shine by themselves, and earn their actual Chosen One status.

It's the opposite though. Naruto was just this lonely failure of a kid always underestimated by others while trying to do his best. He was a nobody. Sure, he had Kurama, but countless other people before him had been jinchurikis. Everything technique has was taught to him by someone else, even KCM1 and 2 were taught to him by Killer Bee which means he wasn't special since Bee was the same. Even Naruto himself in his fight against Neiji argued everyone could choose their own path (meaning no one was special or destined to a greater purpose), but it ended up being completely wrong *in the end* when Neiji died and Naruto became the chosen reincarnation to who a god gave half his powers out of nowhere. On the other hand, the East Blue was far too small for Luffy and he could immediately destroy anyone he encountered up until he fought Crocodile in the middle of Paradise. Luffy was mentioned to be special as early as chapter 100 where Smoker cites every element being in Luffy's favor, Woopslap even mentions that in Chapter 1. Even Crocus says he is special. Let's not even talk about Rayleigh. And, as mentioned by Morj, up until Impeldown and Marineford Luffy had always been the miracle man who was able to beat anyone and free entire nations. And even at Amazon Lily, Impeldown and Marineford, that's where he unlocked conqueror's haki and proved to have an incredible life force by surviving Magellan's poison. Even after the timeskip he beat Hody and Ceasar easily and he hasn't lost once up until he arrived at Wano. He always represented freedom and seemed to be the savior of the world. But that doesn't mean he is the chosen one, he isn't like Naruto.
