You need to remember that Gol D Roger was sick at the moment of his execution, almost dead sick. He was also held in prison beforethe the execution, so he looks pale and finished there. Which is accurate.

Arlong at Baratie is weird but it seems like a small change. Also happy to see Kuro because I was worried Usopp stuff was going to get cut. Too little Usopp in the trailer.

You can also see a Fishman during the Buggy scene. I think that Arlong is going to track down Nami and Arlong arriving at the Baratie would be the reason Nami steals the Going Merry and runs away.

I think it's because Arlong is the main villain of this Trailer and probably Nami's storyline is going to be the most important of the First season. Both Krieg, Baratie and Sanji and Usopp, Kuro and the Syrup Village appear less than Arlong and Arlong park

I love that you are hyped for it! The friends I have that watch One Piece + people on Tik Tok tend to get hung up on not looking exactly the same. Which is to be expected-no live action of anime/manga will ever look 100% the same. Every time I’ve expressed any interest, they’ve shut me down. But I think the production did a tremendous good job, especially with the goofy and bright side of One Piece. I was worried they’d try to make it too edgy and dark, but this trailer, as well as how much love the cast has expressed for the project and each other, has me super excited for it! Your reaction made me realize I’m not alone! 🙌

I’ve never watched one piece simply because I was already obsessed with way too many anime to add another one to the list. I’ve heard nothing but good things and I’m so happy that the creators and fans are loving this. As much as we are tired of remakes, at least this one looks good

While Oda has made a point of giving his seal of approval to everything going into this show, he specifically singled out the "help me" scene as being what he considers one of the highlights of this adaptation. Specifically, he stated that it was "perfect". When Emily Rudd (Nami) heard this, her response was to say "I'm done, bury me now".

I’m so glad usopp’s story is included, kuro behind merry looks sick 😭😭 and in terms of design I think zoro, buggy and mihawk (HIS CONTACTSSS 🙌) are the most accurate but I wish they used more Asians in the cast cuz I think nami and luffy could be more accurate appearance wise. Not disappointed at all tho, there’s only slight changes like the fact that it’s in English so accents are different (from what I’m used to since I watch it in Japanese with my mom who’s from jpn, otherwise I’d never get her to watch anime with me), and tiny character details that probably could’ve been better (like luffy’s shorts 😂). I think sanji also looks a bit rough, but still accurate overall. Honestly, the whole trailer looks rlly fking good 💀

Regarding the cast though, I thought it made sense for there to be more diverse cast cause I thought they were based on different nationalities according to Oda, like Luffy being Brazilian etc. Since I’m always looking at clothes and stuff, the main and only thing bothering me with Luffy is his shorts 😭😂
