what's a good substitute for shiso? I dont live and japan and we don't really have any japanese markets nearby. I'm looking for something that will either ship REALLY quickly or something that can be found in a grocery store in the states.

Maybe fishcake, or surimi sticks. SURIMI STICKS are imitation crap and taste good. You can eat it egg surimi omlette with chopet green onion. It's really tasty.

Other people videos I watched said this is a risotto but even if that was true I prefer if it is a fried rice so I'm happy you made a fried rice instead of risotto. Besides who wants to wolf down a risotto in the afternoon when you're starving and after you were beaten out of restaurant.

I wanna make that right now but I don’t know if H Mart has access to all those ingredients. But wow it looked amazing

H Mart does have the ingredients needed. The seafood products are cheaper there than anywhere else

I think it should have been risotto based on the color of the dish on that episode
@lupinvash32 жыл бұрын
If it’s more of a fried rice than a risotto, yet has some white color to resemble what you saw in the anime, i would’ve excluded soy sauce and instead use salt and white pepper.

@CookingBoBoW2 жыл бұрын
Salt and pepper is not the only form of seasoning. In Asian Cooking Soy sauce is used to make the dish ‘salty’ 😆🙏🏼
@turkeysgotmorecloutthanyou2 жыл бұрын
@@CookingBoBoW I mean, that’s true but a lot of Asian recipes still call for salt and pepper since only a little bit of soy sauce is used for fried rice. Heck, even the official sanji fried rice has that granted it took a lot longer to translate into English so that may have been a problem.

@trikebeatstrexnodiff2 жыл бұрын
i bet it tastes good as well. my country's cuisine doesn't include much sea-food that's why i only tasted prawn/shrimp and disliked it but i havent tasted octopus and squid yet but many of my friends say they do like them. so she probably isnt pretending, since sea-food plays an important role in east-asian cuisine and i bet she really liked it.
