At 12:41, is it always a choice to choose what effect activates first? I always thought it was shirahoshi trigger first then Enel leader effect.

It most of the time shirahoshi first but I had everything I wanted.

The way this specific activation works is that the trigger for Shirahoshi is to simply play her during the trigger step. Then in the next step you get to choose the order effects will resolve between Shirahoshi and Enel. This can lead to a beneficial scenario where if Shirahoshi was your final life you can order it in a way where you end up with 1 card in hand by resolving her last.
