I love it when creators do videos on under-used leaders. This was fun and I played a Garp for the first time ever on the Sim yesterday, no doubt thanks to this video

Kid & Killer rush has been pretty dope in my Garp build, as well as some Zoro, no one expects the 8c Moria to bring back a red rusher at the end of the game. If you can bring back the 2c Brook as the second card from Moria and throw some extra Don!! around, that's a pretty solid punch to go for game.

I think that Garp players will really enjoy OP08 because the Jack will be a key card to their playstyle and could make this deck viable in the competitive scene But it still lacks one thing and thats the colour combination.. Red and Black doesnt compliment each other well

The 3 cost Coby is very fun with blocker Rebecca. You can recycle it and trash another Coby from hand and just keep looping like that.

The 3c Hina would be great in this deck as its a cheap body that gives -4

Thoughts on the OP07 - 3C Baccarat. Its just a cool red utility card that can fuel your trash but otherwise no synergies. Also the obvious choice of the OP07 - 8C Sabo that can KO two things On Play.

I attached 6 Don to my Brook, and any time you attach Don to a Leader or Character, Garp's Leader Effect allows you to give -1 Cost to a Character with 7 or Less cost. And that is not a once per turn Effect, so if you attach 6 Don, you reduce 6 costs worth in total (from Legal targets).

I'm not a huge fan of the card, but if you think it could work I think you should definitely give it a try. Because I'm not sure which Character we want to protect that badly in Garp, we can get almost everything we need back with Gecko + Rebecca

For garps leader effect to activate, you need to play 2c brook effect first. I was in that judge rulings discord in optcg getting an explanation

I don't know if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me. What I'm saying is that the interaction does not work properly on the Sim, at least not for me. If you look in the Bandai Organized Play Discord and type: "Garp" it is the first ruling-question topic that comes up for me. If you are trying to KO a 3 cost Opposing Character and have an 8 Don turn with Garp as your Leader and all available legal targets in the Trash: Play 8c Gecko Moria, Table 1: Choose 2c Brook and 4c Rebecca from trash Brook chosen 1st to attach 2 Don to Leader, Rebecca Chooses 3c Brook from Trash and Plays it out Table 2: Leader Effect Chosen to reduce the cost by 2 from the 2c Brook's Effect in Conjunction with Leader Effect Table 3: The 3c Brook's Effect is chosen and can -1 then pop a 0.
