As a brand new player, every starter deck has been sold out. Makes it hard to try and get into the game :(

The only starter decks I’ve been able to find at stores are the ST08 and ST09 which from my understanding, kinda suck. 🫠

One of our local players went to a Walmart and one guy had all of the starter decks in their cart and he asked if he could get one. The guy responded "no, I'm going to sell them for double the price online. Should've got here sooner"

I was a little bit busy today, having a life and all, and I realized about 12:30 I had a message from the discord for my LGS who opens at 11:00. They were sold out of starter decks. They limited to 2 each of every deck per person and sold out in 90 minutes. I called the other store from the same chain a few minutes later and they had sold out in an hour, a little closer to the higher population density areas (major US metropolitan area). There was another store that was limiting 2 total across all 6 decks who still had a fair bit of stock 3 hours into the day after pre-selling the day prior. I love the fact that it's popular, but there are people ripping these for the PRB01 packs exclusively and selling the rest of the deck, which sucks, honestly

Bandai has a distribution problem they put too much split focus on everything they do and they are not focusing on their real money card games

Distribution in canada had always been a bit worse. In my city, it was wild. The same few people (including me), lined up at all the stores that opened at different times. I was able to pick up the ones i meeded. But the first 6 people in each line bought up all the Doffys. And the one store was chsrging $56 CAD for the doffy deck. All the others sold out within the hour of opening.

I also wanted to add that someone at my locals pulled a god pack from a Uta starter deck at a Starter Deck tournament. (For the newer players, god pack, this time was all the manga cards that have come out so far. God packs usually consist of alternate art leaders in the set.) I don’t know if maybe people are trying to buy these out so they can only grab the PRB packs and then selling the starter decks solo so that they can try and get the god pack?🤷‍♂️ either way it sucks that it’s the one TCG I play and it’s so hard to find stuff

The standard ST14 Luffy is Navy based and commonly accredited to Luigi Amato (and team)

The 3d2y luffy player actually isn’t playing the standard list as standard list is navy package wit only Robin and sanji from the starter deck. The animal kingdom package is more pop based where the navy is more true tempo/hand advantage based and based on results navy is the better version

Checked Targets, Wal-Marts, and Barnes & Noble. 9 stores in 3 different towns. I was only able to find product at Barnes & Noble.

the scalper in the are I live has an in with the vendor always knows when stock is happening and so hard to get stuff.

I'm Ina small town where there's one piece sold and tempted to sell the decks for 10 a piece + shipping

The vendor thing is the same for all big outlets. Walmart gets shipped a box of cards a week to 2 weeks sometimes 3 weeks ahead and we hold it in the backroom and then it'll have a street date on it and Walmart workers can't touch it

Then every Thursday morning the vendor comes and stocks the shelves. And they always have stuff at MSRP.
