It's especially noticeable because these anime are lifted directly from the manga and the downgrade in art is almost shocking, while the pacing is sometimes unbearable. I specifically mentioned that scene though because I remember seeing it in the manga and it was hilarious in concept but kinda hard to read, since it's drawn in one single panel showing Luffy hitting the wall and bouncing in the water all in one drawing. It took you out of the story a bit having to figure out what was going on in that one panel (especially since the action doesn't even move smoothly in one direction, he comes from the right, hits the left wall, then moves back to the right). I thought that was definitely one scene that got improved thanks to the animated medium.
