Awesome stuff Steven, glad you’ve decided to stick around KSR
@spinblackcirclesКүн бұрын
This guy is head and shoulders the best content creator on KSR. With that said, Will hurt himself before the penalty on that touchdown. So he still would have missed the South Carolina game either way and we would have lost. Actually Will was never really the same after that injury that year. An awesome, awesome video though

I really didn't want to watch this because I'm already so depressed about football, but I respect your work too much and was glad I did. Great job on this, as usual. Let's hope Mark shocks everyone and turns it around this next year.

He has lost most of his best players next year, will be worse, and still won't be able to afford to let him go. What a shit show

@KerryCarson-r3n I guess we'll see. If it's bad next year, we will have the money to go and get a new coach.

I played in the game against Forida in 1993! The one missed assignment "watch the flanker streak" with seconds left in the game! It changed the trajectory of our season and my life! We have come close to greatness! But all things worked together for my good and my teammates! I AM WILDCAT FOR LIFE! GO BIG BLUE! We will be a SEC CHAMPIONS one day and win the National Championship! RIP BIG JOHN SCHLARMAN!

I actually got choked up out of nowhere when he showed the fan video of the people in their house at the end of the 2016 Florida game. As a football fan that’s the happiest the sport has ever made me and I’ll never forget that night!

Well done! 2024 was such a disappointing season that it is hard to remember the positive impact Stoops has had on this program.

With next year's schedule, this team will be lucky to scrap out four wins.

If Liam Coen doesn't leave Kentucky to go to Tampa Bay, I think this offense and football program as a whole doesn't fall apart like it has the last 2 years.
@spinblackcirclesКүн бұрын
If anything part of the reason UK has struggled is BECAUSE Liam left the way he did twice. We have had absolutely zero stability in the offensive locker room as far as coaches, and it has shown on the field. Him coming back just to leave after one year again fucked us over big time.
@eugenehovekamp6038Күн бұрын
The Ole Miss game was one turning point. However, IMO, the biggest turning point was the passing of John Schlarman. We went 10-3 the next year with his line, but we haven't been the same since.
@WatchKSRКүн бұрын
I mention that in the video

Kentucky needs to become cool. The place everyone looks at, kind of like when Colorado hired Dion or the Oregon ducks.That seem to have a top program year after year. But this is not going to happen with Stoops running the show. Kentucky needs to move on how we do that I don't know. Yeah it's going to be expensive but everything is nowadays!!!
@rogerwoods6322Күн бұрын
It seems from the outside (rival SEC fan) the recent down turn of Kentucky football coincides with the rise of NIL. Whatever recruiting advantage Stoops had developed seems to have evaporated with the NIL era.

KY, put this story to bed and let Stoops go. Tired of hearing about the threats to fire him...enough already. Just remember, who you going to hire?
@claydiddy63ableКүн бұрын
agreed, it's all pure horseshit to drum up support in any way possible. There is no parallel f'n universe. Stoops is a mediocre coach that was gifted with alot of support to get the program going. He feasted on a weak SEC east and an OOC schedule of patsy's to crap bowl games. Winningest coach in UK history? That aint saying much... also the losingest. Stop all the stupid f'n horseshit and fire this dude. We need a new coach that won't mismanage the program. This falls on Mitch for giving such a lopsided contract.

it’s gotten to the point where it doesn’t matter if the coaching staff finally changes, the teams that were bad or average this year just rounded up a bunch of talent + lsu using the bryce underwood money on 6 different transfers. this program will be back in the gutter for at least the next 5 years. time to put in stock in mark pope. only problem with that is nil made the sec the best conference by a mile
@nickcarroll4829Күн бұрын
Is this a joke? One single play and the culture going down hill didn't start with this game, it started way before that. But sure try to give Stoops more excuses for why he can't control his locker room or let his OC do his job.
@shaunbundy4692Күн бұрын
This was a huge point, but the real start of the downfall of UK football was the passing of Coach Schlarmen.
