🚨Breaking.. Lamington Group announced plans for a 32 storey hotel adjoining and including the Grade 2 listed (and unused) Union Bank in Piccadilly, near the station. Slated to be the first net zero in Mcr. Stunning building with an angled roof.

@@jonldronevideos You are welcome. As far as the crow flies, it is not that far from One Port Street. A prominent position and a, fine building, a shame it is disused. Hard to belive that into 1800 Ancoats was an area of green fields. Ancoats is from the Anglo-Saxon "Eln Cotes" meaning lonely cottages. Great Ancoats Street was originally a drovers road were cattle was driven to market.

I'm very interested in the progress of 1 Port Street. It's starting to take shape. Very interesting shots, also the former trading park where ToysRUs used to be! When will that start to be built on.

I will keep my eye on the old toys r us site. Doesn’t seem much activity since they knocked the buildings downs. 1 port street is really progressing on.
