Have you heard about Cricut’s new design space policy? (I’m assuming it also applies in Canada) - I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
@RamoArt3 жыл бұрын
Realistically I don't think anyone who doesn't use their cricut commercially will actually want to upload more than 20 images per month but that's such a horrible policy. Almost comes close to Adobe completely switching to subscription plans. I think you might be able to get around it by creating a png or svg file with multiple images in a different program and uploading that to design space, then deleting every image that you don't need right away. 🤔
@poppyfoxart3 жыл бұрын
@@RamoArt I've decided to get around it by deleting Cricut from my life. It never cuts right anyway and I've been frustrated by it since day 1. I was so beyond frustrated to hear that they thought putting their crappy software effectively behind a paywall was the right move. Made my decision to swap to a Silhouette even easier. I'm swapping as soon as the black Cameo 4 is back in stock. I think your suggestion about making one big file with as much stuff as you can fit is a good idea for people who can't make the switch or who want to keep trying to make Cricut work, though!
@RamoArt3 жыл бұрын
@@poppyfoxart It's weird. Some people absolutely love their cricut while others, like you, have had nothing but issues. @hannahreis13693 жыл бұрын
@@RamoArt I've seen that hack floating around, I just think it's gross to force users to pay to use the products they already purchased. I personally never design things in DS because I think the interface is awful, so if I have a lot of projects I'm working on, that's going to be a royal pain
@poppyfoxart3 жыл бұрын
@@RamoArt I bought my Cricut because I read the machine specs were better than with the Silhouette. And they are. But I’ve learned that bad software can totally hobble a great machine. I’d rather have good software with lots of control and a slightly weaker machine than what I’ve got right now. I’m always so baffled by people who can use their Cricuts and make them work and don’t have any complaints. My Cricut miscuts probably 80% of the time. It’s so frustrating and part of the reason I haven’t been able to really push my sticker shop like I’d like to. I’m not trying to tell you one way or another what to do, but if you do get a machine continue to do the research you’ve done so far and try to make the best decision for you. I’ve had to read and search and watch so much stuff just to get my Cricut to do what I want it to and even then it only works right about 1/5 of the time. I wonder if Silhouette has less tutorials and stuff because it just works? I don’t know one way or another, but man.

10:01 wouldn't it be easier for you to weigh the box (like have a cheat sheet hanging somewhere with the weight of each box size) and look at the weight of the items it tells you and just add them up for the total weight, idk if chitchats or shopify has a way to optimize something like that but that's what I do with my orders and after a while i end up memorizing the box weights lol

Hey Baylee, if you notice the tape dispenser gets more accurate the smaller the roll gets there’s a simple adjustment you can make to get it working properly. Search a video on KZbin called “better pack 555e service short tape lengths” it’s within the first 3 minutes ignore the rest of the video that won’t be your problem on a new machine. You just have to turn a single screw so it’s easy. Your car sounds like it has bigger problems then this suggestion would help but keeping your vents set to take in outside air not recirculate and not using max ac can help. Also turning on your ac even in the winter will help dry out the air if your car has the option. This advise helped me with frost and fog and I wish I had known it sooner so I figure I’d put it out there in case it helps other folks but if you are soaking towels this ain’t gonna help that much.

Your car sounds like something similar that happened with mine, definitely after hearing the windshield gets drips of water. Mine was my sunroof. There’s hoses that help the sunroof drain water outside of your car. If they get full of junk (pollen, etc from trees) it can clog up those hoses. I had to take apart part of mine car and blow air through the hose until it was unclogged. I’m not sure how easy it’d be to take the door area apart on your car so you may have to take it in to get it done. Having water leaking into your floor board is SUCH a mess! I hope it gets fixed soon!!!

if your car has a sunroof in it that's where the water might be coming from. They usually have some sort of tubbing that runs from the sun roof down through the frame by the front doors and sometimes they become clogged with dirt and debris or they become unattached and you just have to flush water through them or re attach the hoses. I have previously had a car that had this issue, always had water on the front window and eventually after a couple of heavy rain storms the whole rear floor was flooded! took a look at the sunroof and found the tubes had come loose. Quick and easy fix!

So, you’ve probably already thought of this, but: could you just add the additional box weight to your product weight in Shopify? If people buy multiple sketchbooks, i’m not sure how much space you have for that extra weight on multiple products before you hit the next weight class pricewise, but, just throwing this out there as an idea.
@BayleeJae3 жыл бұрын
I did figure out a solution using that method for the sketchbooks. But I can't do that for lightweight items because listing each 10g item as 140g would create gigantic order weights.
