People hated season 2.. they were like, "We just want Saitama punching things" yet they creamed over Saitama vs the Dominator.. I get it, love me some Saitama, but he's literally ONE PUNCH MAN.. you can't have a show where everyone loses in one punch, there's no stakes.. so you have to focus on the small fries and world build and build up just how badass the Hero Hunter is.. and the last episodes of season 2 were fantastic at that.

me personally feel like S2 animation is great but the art style can be terrible at certain scenes, sometimes the face are too squished, sometimes the shine finish is too 'oily' looking. they're clearly saving the budget for the last few episodes and it shows. the fight scenes are animated beautifully.

Yes Garo may be the best part of season 2. He really changes up the underdog scenario as opposed to most stories. Garo is sympathetic to some degree but I thought part of his motive was that some so called monster was innocent when attacked by heroes but it has been a long time since I have seen this so I might be misremembering.

What’s interesting is that he never killed anybody but all the heroes tries to always kill him. But in the world of martial arts, he’s not really the bad guy. Going to every dojo to crush the opponent and beat everyone to show how strong you are was the norm in the martial arts world.

I didnt realise so many people preferred S2's sound design, compared to S1 i feel like someone is scraping my ear with a spoon every time an impact sound goes off, dont even get me started on the copy-paste stock sfx they use on projectiles. S3 is probably going to continue like this so more power to you if you dont mind the sound, i do still enjoy OPM overall and im very excited for the next season even though i probably sound like a hater 😅

Had Bang not intervened Garou was about die right there. Remember Band said he doesn't want Garou to end up dead so he went to save him while teaching him a lesson. I don't understand how people think Genos would have lost here. He literally fights a High Dragon Monster in the next episode. Garou is fodder compared to that.

Yeah, I see the Garou story as the villainous version of Saitama's path to omnipotence. Just constantly pushing past his limit again and again and again. Look at Saitama versus Crablanta in ep 1. From day one, Saitama seemed to have no limiter, and would just get thrashed, get up, and be immediately stronger and more dangerous. But Saitama has a serious head start on Garou, and so Garou is doomed to be beaten by Saitama. That is the reason the anime is called One Punch Man, not Hero Hunter. The only reason to make the audience worry a bit is that Garou has a foundation of martial arts which gives him counters, special moves and tricks in his sleeve that could bridge the gap.

Apparently "Glasses" has more relevance in the Audio Dramas. He used to work for the Fabuki Group but after a run in with Saitama he was humbled and decided to go and train himself up. Many see him as a bit of a "Saitama" as someone who is training the most basic way but doing all he can. Of course he won't become like Saitama, but he's grown a lot as shown here.

Nah, I'd argue with that. You have to rewatch S1 to replenish your memory, lmao. S2 has more side characters focuses, thus has a variety of ost. S1 osts were epic and contains some of the most iconic osts in anime shows.
