The webcomic, the source material, reveals that the cities are huge because they basically replaced countries. Turns out OPM takes place in the very far future of what used to be normal earth but after centuries of many wars and environmental changes fucked it up. In addition, very dangerous monster start to appear so the last of humanity moved on this supercontinent to survive and become one homogeneous society where cities replaced countries.

OPM was first I believe. The issue were his drawings for.his initial publication. All the nice manga art you see now is by another famous artist redoing the stuff. The story did get a lot of fans which caught his attention I assume.

Probably because Class S is expected to either destroy the meteor completely leaving no fallout or push it back into space. Those are technically more difficult feats to achieve than simply smashing it and letting the debris rain down on the town.

Saitama: committed himself to almost die everyday by training and fighting every monster he encountered, pushing his limits and getting better everyday. Mumen rider: fights with a lot of courage to protect the others, but sees himself as weak and not good enough for class B instead of getting stronger and be the hero he wants.

No, he won't. Partially because his curse seems to be to forever be ignored and hated by the common people, and partially because he really doesn't need to be. Throughout the series, every now and then someone notices how spectacular Saitama is, and their eyes are opened. It's their love and respect that Saitama needs.

@@gear2902 dont be rude to tank top master, he still performs on a level of demon or above, so on physical he roughly equates to the strength of the usj nomu (without his quirks that is), and with that strength comes speed and body resistance, so stain would likely be slower, and that means he would be evaporated. But it he manages to lick their blood he would be able to defeat both puri puri and tank top master, maybe also metal bat. As of A class heroes, only the top guys would be able to defeat him

@thelightbane i agree, even if he does paralyze them somehow, most of them will not be even grazed by his attacks (zombieman is obvious, tatsumaki will erect a shield (she can do this even if she is unconcious) and he will only be able to penetrate skin of puri puri, child emperor, metal bat and tank top master, and child emperor will have a device to kill stain before he finishes his job. Other ones will not have their skin damaged by his blades or whatever he uses because they are either made of metal or on dragon level of physical strength)

The S class heroes are all super powerful, but kind of like with the hashira in demon slayer: fighting ability is the absolutely biggest criteria for getting ranked so high. Which also means they are an assorted bunch of characters personality wise, some honourable, some egoistic, vain, weird etc… As you see in this episode rank 3 Bang/Silverfang is a good guy and Genius obviously is too. Metal knight seems more out for himself/detached and the only other S class we’ve seen so far I think are Tatsumaki/Tornado (green haired girl) and Watchdog man (expressionless guy in dog suit with8

Most people are so petty that they entirely miss the point of this episode. It's to show that Saitama - regardless how strong he is - still has to learn what it means to be a Hero. Saitama didn't care about collateral damage at all. Right before Genos attempted to stop the meteor, he was considering the consequences and whether he could deal with them. Saitama just went up there and smashed the meteor to pieces without a single thought and while pieces were wrecking the town, he was like: "Well, this settles it." Like, no it didn't "settle" it lol. It's not the end result that's the problem. It's his approach: exhibition of power without thought. That's not very "hero-like". Equally, if you demand or even expect people's gratitude...you probably aren't cut out to be a _real_ hero. Someone who only helps for gratitude in return is a helpful person but not a hero. And there's really no point in putting yourself out there just to snap at people when they don't show you the appreciation you deserve. That's why Genos pulled him away from it. Two episodes later (9) he then does something heroic for the first time that doesn't include him throwing a punch - when he lied to sacrifice his own image so that the other heroes would get the gratitude they deserved. It's a journey. The rankings aren't just power rankings. They are Hero rankings. It's probably a good thing Saitama was placed low bc he did have a lot to learn (and still has). This way he has time to grow while not being in the lime light of an S Class Hero
