I liked the block with the plus in the middle. I think I will try that. Thanks for the idea.

Hey I would love to see you and Tiffany do a collaboration, with a jellyroll and layer cake. Make a star quilt.

I will usually have two sewing projects kinda at the same time and a bin. When i am working on a project and i start to get frustrated(or really frustrated), I put it in the project time out bin and work on the other project. So i switch back and forth, but i do put little notes so i know whats next or needed.

When you want to sew but too distracted for anything complicated, crumb blocks or crumb sections of two pieces works for me. I don't remember what the block either but it is going to look great with those prints.

To the person who was not asked back to retreat. We would love to have you join us if you were in our area. Find a different group.

love disappearing 9Patch. recently saw video from Inspired by Leah Louise and she did half of 9-patches with dark fabrics on corners and the other half with light fabrics in corners, turned out beautifully!!

I just recently found your channel by accident. I saw Tiffany in the background as you threw some fabric at her to press.🤣 Are you friends, sisters, related...?

Billie I get very nervous among people who have been quilting for years, I do scrappy quilt covers I can’t afford shop bought material and batting, I get my material from charity shops

I’ve been quilting for a long time & I can afford to buy quilt shop fabric but I love thrifting & using old clothes for quilts! Do not worry about what others might think. That’s them! You use what works for you!

Go to your local quilt guild, someone there would be honored to give you scraps, plus it's a beautiful way to meet new friends. I live near Tombstone, AZ. If you are in the area I'd love to give you fabric...

You can use old or thrifted sheets for batting. You can even use an old blanket. That is what was used in quilts 100 years ago. I have taken several comforters apart for fabric and backings. Where there is a will, there is a way. Try garage/yard sales, too! The hunt is fun!

Hi Becca! I will be getting the cordless same iron. Can you tell me what setting you use for dry ironing? I have had trouble with my Rowenta either scorching my ironing board or not getting creases out with just a tiny adjustment in the heat. Pretty frustrating…. Thanks, Lori

? I went to a retreat 1yr ago. I was a 1vyr quilter. Found out recently that i wasn't asked back because i was trying to get some help understanding a pattern in a kit i received 🙃 and was also quite. So they assumed i wasn't enjoying my self.. also have been informed that groups that retreat have been doing so for awhile and newbies aren't welcome. Help me. Sad 😢
@NoraMeissner8 ай бұрын
You are always welcome at our retreat. If you start the long weekend quiet I'm sure it won't last long. We had three newbies last month (new friends for us all and new to quilting and a language barrier). We all lent our skills and they each made several amazing projects. Don't give up. You just haven't found the right group but we are out there.

Try a quilt guild. They have retreats but before that you can check out their meetings and see how friendly they are.

Try a different retreat. I started going to one about 8 years ago and never experienced that. If anything, all the ladies are very accommodating to newbies
