The most beautiful part about this episode is that, in a sense, both Bocchi and Nijika accomplished their dreams irl... This anime blew up so much that the "Shelter" the club Starry is based off became known worldwide and Kessoku band album sold like hot pancakes and was "gold" certified

The band loses their vocalist/guitarist then Bocchi appears with her guitar. Not only does she also bring back the vocalist but she teaches her to play guitar Bocchi writes the songs that are deep and not superficial. She kicks the first performance into the next gear showing a glimpse of her true skills and now here where she full on leads them into their best performance yet. Bocchi really is the hero of the story.

I don’t blame you guys for getting emotional on that part. I feel the same as Bocchi in that situation. I seem to really pull others up when it seems things are going downhill and watching that part really hit me. When others are having doubts, I’ll always be there to refuse defeat and with confidence in myself to turn things around. Be the best you can be, always.

Nijika and Bocchi's conversation at the last part of this episode will always be my most favorite part of Bocchi The Rock. Not only the music and comedy is good, but they're going all out on the characters. No matter how many times i've watched the scene, it always make me tear up.

Fun fact: Kikuri Hiroi surname is derived from Margaret Hiroi, a current member of 88Kasyo Junrei. You could say she is inspired by her cuz she actually did what Kikuri did in anime. Her bass is a YAMAHA TRB1004J Natural. She calls it "Super Ultra Shuten-dōji EX" (スーパーウルトラ酒呑童子EX).[4] Shuten-dōji (酒呑童子), which literally means "sake-drinking boy", is the name of an oni demon from an ancient legend. Author really did this well tbh. I like how she (the author) made this as Kikuri's personality to be a drunk character.

Nijika is a very observant and caring person, she knows bocchi like cola(you can see her drinking throughout the show), that's why she bought her cola at ep5 at the vending machine scene, and here she suggest ordering karrage due to bocchi's mom karaage break her out of her world in ep7, these are not in the manga the anime team really cared about these details

Heyo RockLee crew, glad to see ya appreciated the emotional moments in this episode! That bein' the case- and with the Recommendations site down- I've been in a Band Anime mood lately myself and just finished a couple fantastic series I'm certain you'd enjoy from the genre. The recent ones I'd give top Reaction marks to are "Girls Band Cry" and "BanG Dream: It's MyGo!!!!!". Both are well-animated CG series, focusing more on serious drama and characterization than the comedy of "Bocchi," and feature great songs and earned emotional moments. "Girls Band Cry" is a great stand-alone show based around the main character leaving the suburbs to try succeeding in Tokyo, while "MyGo!!!!!" is the most recent season in the "BanG Dream" franchise. From what I read, it's kind of a side-series in the scheme of things, and is an aberration in tone and storytelling from the seasons that came before it (also the best reviewed). So if you wanted, you could get context for the setting by watching the previous 3 seasons... I've read that those seasons got better each iteration, going from Okay to Good to Really Good. 🎸

I love how wholesome the show is while also dealing with a lot of real life issues like social anxiety, fitting in, worrying about your future, this that the other, but man I loved it when you guys were like, "You're my Bocchi!" that's some wholesome stuff, and looking back on your past and where you've been, I only started watching your reactions because of Blue Lock and Bocchi the past few weeks but I'm subscribed, all of us here in the comments are like those girls showing up in the storm. 🧡🥲
