I was following along with you in the PSPP example and typed in everything that you did and I did not have a chart at all in my output. The only thing that was different was the value labels for the Major... So I am not sure how you got that answer. Thank you!

It would be hard to troubleshoot without seeing a screenshot of your data setup. The only other thing I can recommend is that if you are having a hard time with PSPP, try JAMOVI. Here is a video on how to do a one-sample t-test in Jamovi-- it is also a free software. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l52lmaZsr5xgfMksi=AF9xqu3r-UwRoYz-

How did you get to 57 as the test value kindly? . I need to know where the 57 came from. regards!

That number should be provided by the assignment/in the example. The "test value" is the overall known number you are comparing your result to. For example, if I know that students who take Psychology 101 tend to, overall, score an average of 78% on the final exam based on all of the years I have been keeping records, and I want to compare this year's Honors Psych101 class to that average to see if there is a significant difference. That 78 is my test value. I do an overview of that in these two videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2WZmoVtabGfoM0 and kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGaqeHSBipmle7M
