This story was a slow burn but absolutely worth it. The moment the 'prisoner' mentioned that the Therians were limited by the speed of light, I started hollering for this mad lad! Same thing when he mentioned the time difference. It was 12 Therian years but 46 human years... That is a 3.83 multiplication rate. Also loved how the human quickly refutes the notion of 'noble' aliens. Sure, humans are monsters, but they acknowledge that. Therians consider themselves superior, but also decided to commit genocide on a species that met 18*3.83= 68.94 hours later. Hope they get what is coming to them.

@Kareszkoma2 жыл бұрын
@@burnerheinz True. That's where the warp and hyper space theories come from. But that's even a more complicated matter. Not understanding it perfectly, but if things taken apart, space, is a construct of things, that are only for us. It's just dimensions, layers having a cross-cut at many joining places, creating attributes that make up the foundation of our world. Like how colors are, or how if electrons are cut than they are radiation. Many things that make travelling, is just a curve in space, created by gravitation. Which is created by other values having that crosses, making up matter. But if you take those things apart, it just becomes like a 1D dimension, a layer, not like a pipe in which you can travel. Those matters can be using this to communicate, both using the same thing as foundation for their behavior, which is good for communication, but no necessarily for travel.
@109Rage2 жыл бұрын
@@Kareszkoma It probably is too good to be true. Iirc, we can't seem to coerce entangled particles to be observed a certain way, so it doesn't appear that we can actually send a message thru this method.

There's just something cathartic about the victim being able to calmly sit there and explain just how wrong they are... how peace wasn't just an option, but the intended.... the hoped for... outcome. That through nothing more than callous hubris, the oppressor has dedicated itself to destruction. Ahhhhh..... I do loves me some god-mode vr.

This tale takes me back to an old story called The Blood Red Game written by Michael Moorcock, although that part was only a relatively small episode in the novel's longer story-line. At one point in the longer story, Humanity has to leave not just our world, nor even our galaxy, but our entire reality since it's collapsing into nothingness. They arrive in a new reality very similar to ours but the dominant species there decides on a unique style of war with Humanity for control of all of that reality. They conduct the war as a techno-psychological war-game where the rules aren't really clear (but it's hinted that the idea is to drive as many of the other side's players insane as you can through mental imagery). The most effective alien attack is accompanied by the mental impression of a blood red shade over everything, hence the name. Humanity nearly loses but at the last moment comes up with imagery which the aliens find so unnerving that Humanity quickly wins the game. (Yes, the remaining aliens do concede defeat. They don't seem to even have the concepts of trying again or of betrayal. They lost; the humans won; there's nothing else that matters; the matter is permanently ended.)

The pain comes in waves as I was stuck in a cycle of fainting in pain, dreaming bizarre nightmare, waking up in extreme pain, try to endure the pain like a person with something in their head, fell asleep, bizarre nightmare, and waking up in pain. I can't remember what was the dream as I immediately tried my hardest to endure the agony. It continues for 2 days. And then I was back to normal.
