That album lenny lashley and the piss poor boys is probably the most underrated and overlooked album of all time. I got it at a show he played in some shithole punk bar in CT (a favorite of mine) ...that album is a legitimate masterpiece. Maybe its the fact that he's not well-known that makes him legendary. Idk, but he's where it's at, and nothing will ever change that.

Adam Chaisson he’s one of my all time favorites too. Lots of my favorites came out of Boston - darkbuster and far from finished being two of them. You can hear the same song 1000 times and one day... you really “hear” it. The message all of a sudden becomes clear. That’s how I feel about this one

Gorgeous song. I’ve been following Lenny since seeing him play in darkbuster for the first time in 2008 in Boston at harpers ferry for the hometown throw up. some of the most fun nights of my life were those darkbuster shows, meeting new people, singing along to the music, and making new friends. My favorite memory of the hometown throw up was when my cell phone fell on the floor in the pit and the band somehow got a hold of the phone and started reading my text messages on stage. This song is just beautiful

Lenny is not Bruce Springsteen, but he takes you places and evokes strong emotions. Plenty of hooks and humor In his music as well. Special artist who is impossible to categorIze. Probably should have had more success and fame, but that’s the music biz.
