One Square Mile of Hope 2014 No Music

September 13, 2014 This version should play on mobile devices. The ambient sounds were the wind and rain pounding the forest, the planes fighting and riding the winds, and then, as it came together, the flotilla's roar that climbed up the slopes to the top of Rocky and beyond. What an amazing spectacle.

That is just AWESOME. It really tells the tale-- shows the weather-- how we re-formed at about the 2 minute mark or we would have been ashore by noon. I'm surprised at how well the raft held its shape once formed. Great job--- And though you weren't paddling-- there had to be some snowflakes up there! Not to mention the after-shooting tinkering that had to happen to make that video. Thanks!

This is fascinating. I did not notice the "re-forming" in real time but it puzzled me while assembling the clips, thinking I had somehow screwed up the order. After reading your comment I can now see a core of boats re-establishing the center up wind several times. When the raft reached a critical mass this was no longer an option. You ran the gauntlet of islands beautifully!
