I watched this show as a child. It had been cancelled years earlier so I watched many of the old episodes. I like the fact I can now rewatch many of the old episodes I saw in the 60's and many more I never watched previously.

It's great that these episodes are on KZbin! This was one of my favorite programs when I was growing up. The two best episodes are: "TIDAL WAVE" and 'THE SECRET"! They're here on YT as well. Really appreciate that these episodes are available. Thank you to the individual that uploaded this classic TV series!

Nice catch, I thought he was familiar, and the credits of course confirmed. Despite some questionable makeup, The Savage Curtain was IMO a pretty great episode. I agree too, that Lee Bergere gave a pretty damn good performance as Abe Lincoln! ✌

Yah it Started January 20 1959 and Twilight Zone Started October 2and 1959..One Step only ran until June 21 1961..so it was only on for a Year and a half and Twilight was on for 5 Seasons..I hate to say it but One Step was Over Shadowed by Twilight and Didn't get the Recognition it Deserved in the short Duration it was on.

Mom and I love watching Call the Midwife.... it's odd watching the pregnant women sitting around drinking cocktails and smoking. Even the Dr smokes all the time in the office and hospital. I remember when my grandfather was in the hospital for emphysema, he smoked in his oxygen tent. We can't honestly judge the past on what we know now...

I actually find it IRONIC that these Episodes were so entertaining when they came out ,in the 50's. Now it seems that the ONLY subject the writers IMAGINATION can come up with, is either political, Racial or SEXUAL . I guess all the Writers with any REAL IMADINATION, have become "WOKE" !

It's a shame the way some of these studios have stored their old films. Some destroyed for good, unable to improve
@one-step-beyond-19593 жыл бұрын
Actually . . . all these episodes in pristine 35mm quality are stored in some vault in southern California somewhere. Paramount released Season One on high quality DVD but apparently the sales were not strong enough to justify releasing Seasons 2 and 3 in the same way. So we're stuck with scrounging the best 16mm syndication copies from wherever we can . . .

@@one-step-beyond-1959 Perhaps CBS filed the copyright claim last month because they were contemplating on releasing Seasons 2 and 3 on high quality DVD's? Off course, if they do not have the copyright to the 'OSB' series, they will not be able to prevent someone from uploading the high quality episodes on to YT or equivalent, if they do release them, so they will likely not go forward with that. I really wish there was a way that great YT channels like yours could be continued while all the high quality 'OSB' episodes could be sold to the public with profit for those who did the work of transferring the episodes onto digital media.
@one-step-beyond-19593 жыл бұрын
@@naansophi1111 They certainly don't tell me what their plans are -- for sure. I'd like to see all the episodes in high quality -- especially Season 3 which has 7 of the top 10 rated best episodes . . .

Well back in the Fifties and even up to the Seventies. those old film roles were seen as consumer products more or less to be thrown away after two or three reruns. That changed with the popularity of DVDs and BLUERAYS. That is alwo why some of those episodes and even movies like Broomsticks and Bedknobs just survived as fragments.

@garman19663 жыл бұрын
So I guess the old blind guy painted two identical paintings? Maybe he did them both at the same time using a brush in each hand? ( one painting being back at the art gallery and the other being in the old man's house). Not a perfect plot for sure.
@rogerlynch52793 жыл бұрын
As with modern shows like this the background story is exaggerated. But technically things like this have happened more often as believed. Taken Rembrandt´s MAN WITH THE GOLDEN HELMET ( 1650 ), some years ago it became a big scandal when some Art Historian in the ALBERTINA in VIENNA, Austria, had figured out that this world famous painting just was done partly by the great master. Old Documents had prooven that Rembrandt´s widow had payed one of Rembrandts students to finish it. - Just as a real life example But those facts are known to everyone studying History, Literature or Art History. So the couple in this story acted really naive
