Supposedly based on an actual event. Newland even brings the woman that this happened to out at the end of the episode. Enjoy!

Saw this episode when it was first broadcast in 1961 or 1962. I was 13 or 14 years old and this was my favorite episode because I saw this show while living in Denver CO and we were from Honolulu originally. I've been looking for this episode for almost 45 years!

Saw this as child on TV when it first ran. Never forgot it. Probably one of the best episodes.

God almighty, saved them both by having the man hear her and by her whisper save him from going to the beach where he most certainly would have died/ drowned. Great episode!😊✌️

The first time I saw this episode was almost 60 years ago. It was also the only time I saw it. This story affected me profoundly, as I am almost 70 years old and remembered it as if I just saw it yesterday. A very powerful and inspiring story.

One of my favorite episodes of this show. I'm afraid of Tsunamis and being disabled I really can understand and feel her terror. Thanks for uploading.

Then television would go off after the national anthem,,, and words to live by and the 1khz tone and then dad would turn of the set and it would be dark and super quiet until the next morning when you would wake up. No texting no facebook---just people really living.

Part II comments...didn't realize they interviewed the real Mrs. North at t5he end of the show...her house is about 1,000 feet from the shoreline and she lived about 2 miles from our house in Aina Haina...weird huh? Not really she described it as a psychic phenomenon...I call it God sending angelic beings to hep her.

I'm 74 years old and I am a believer. Occurrence such as this has happened over and over in my life. With some, I've been protected from harm. Others times, I've been protected from financial ruin. I don't know why or by what, but I'm grateful. I've often said, there is an angel sitting on my shoulder.
