This is one of the very best ones. The excellent response by Fran when she hears the boys voice, always tears me up. I guess I'm more of a softie than I thought. Dont tell anyone!

Conscience is NOT our enemy. That is a lie. Our conscience is our Check Gauge of the mind; to assist us in making the right decisions. Without our conscience we can not have a moral compass. People's consciences that have been seared with a hot iron have no guilt, but their actions reflect a reprobate mind or a debased mind. Make no mistake, our conscience is a gift from God in Heaven above.

no host can eloquently introduce a prologue like Sir Newland--Genuinely Persuasive and eerie
@ppena4128

@ Ja: I paused at your comment because you refer to John Newland as "Sir Newland." This John Newland was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and as far as I know was never a British citizen. Americans would not call him "Sir Newland," but rather "Mr. Newland." There is, however a "Sir John NewlandS," who is an Austrailian politician...but different person entirely.

It's amazing that these films survived into the modern age. They were probably on those old reel to reel films that were very flammable back then and also degraded with time.

Quality Television Series. Older than I. Today's T.V. is not Good. Also, commercials then were worth watching! PS: This Series was never claimed by "copywrites"; so, Nobody actually owns them.

Shame we don’t get stories on tv anymore , something you can sit and watch and really be taken away , all we get now is reality tv , I don’t want reality , that’s why I watch to get away from real life , at least we’ve got you tube for these old shows

The only one I remember was about a guy and his dog dying and then walking on an old dirt road, meeting first one guy then another and their trying to get them into their property. When he tries to take his dog, the first one won't allow so he knows that was hell. I'm not sure what program it was but, it was along these same lines. Any info?

Huh?? A conscience is no problem at all as long as you dont do evil, terrible things to activate it. It keeps us on the straight and narrow. Thugs, thieves, murderers, rapists etc DONT HAVE ONE. Are you a proponent of that behavior??

Every episode, every damn episode on this show where someone gets hurt, they start bleeding from the mouth. Why IS that? I get hit in the head all the time, soccer, accidents around the house, I get hit hard, really hard sometimes. I've never bled from the mouth

When these aired there were network censors. The actors were not permitted to show strikes with objects, both married partners in the same bed together, scantily dressed women or significant blood or gore. A little from the corner of the mouth was all that was allowed to show violence. It was all proper! It's the way it should be depicted today!
