This was so encouraging. 4 years ago I decided to leave my abusive mariage after years of spiritual/emotional and physical abuse. My daughter was 15 months then and I was so afraid of the future. But now I’m in a such a good place that I am so thankful that I made that decision. Ladies listen to this podcast, you CANNOT change a man, you CANNOT pray his demons away and you shouldn’t keep yourself hostage by fear of starting over. The dark times will eventually pass. Put God first and seek his wisdom and direction for your life.

I appreciate hearing this so much. Four years ago my husband walked out and I let him because I knew there was nothing I could do to change him. He had to want it for himself. I would rather he walk out of the marriage than to harm me because he felt trapped.

As women, we believe we can change a man because we are nurturing people. (some) Obviously, his wife is dealing with rejection issues due to trauma. We are only in control of ourselves. Until we understand and realize THAT we will continue to put ourselves in these broken failed relationships searching for something that only GOD can fill.

It’s an absolute fact, that a person who will lie about non-sensical things, is covering up something BIG! I learned that the hard way. My therapist taught me that lesson. She pointed out the little lies told to me earlier in the relationship to explain the situation I found myself in.

I heard it too in many different ways. She keeps lording the marital vows over him as a badge. I felt sorry for her that she refused to listen to him and the man would be pushed to do more disrespectful things to her. No woman can raise a man, ONLY CHILDREN. We can't change any man.

John’s wife has very low self esteem and she’s in complete denial. YEARS of ignoring red flags left her stagnant.

I only heard POOR because we were all poor in a small town. I just wanted a boyfriend, at 16 for a short while. We have been married 46 dysfunctional yrs, look like the perfect family, but have been through everything you said you should NOT DO. He has told me many times thanks for rising him and our wonderful daughters. My sister was RIGHT, they ARE CRAZY! He has mother issues like all the crazy Geminis (Jeff Dahmer, unabomer, trump, Ye etc.) Only thing good out of the relationship is my BEAUTIFUL, extremely intelligent daughters and an AMAZING 7 old grandson. Action speaks louder than words!!! and sometimes out of bad comes some good 🙏

Liked even before I listened to your POV. I feel like your my auntie in my head and appreciate your words as I learn, mature and reflect on my own choices.

Thank you so much for this. It's like your grandma's saying. Don't make a man tell you twice that he don't want ya. Avenger has traded all her self worth and self esteem for a title. I don't know how she looks in the mirror.

It's kind of like emotional abuse and gaslighting and it's unfortunate that some women are willing to tolerate that kind of behavior..

What kind of books do you recommend for psychology?
@mvmochannel
@mvmochannel 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Vicki, it depends on the subject matter. But what I recommend is search for the subject matter and the word social science or psychologist in Google and a list of books written by some will come up.
