Due Diligence is an awesome tip! Not just in self-publishing but just in life. One area that can easily go unnoticed is groups that you may belong to. If you belong to a group of like-minded people and you have a question about a company...ASK! Ask the group! Get their input, thoughts and experiences. Obviously, as Andy so wisely noted, everyone's experiences are different, so you'll still want to look into things further, but getting multiple points of view can help to inform your decisions.

DUE DILIGENCE My rule of thumb is also if someone reaches out to YOU about something when you didn’t request… probably a scam.

@@SelfPubWithAndy Everyone that approaches me get ignored. If they’re reaching out to me, what they’re offering is probably going to benefit them more. It’s like when my internet provider kept trying to “get me a better deal” - nobody’s in business to lose money. CONSTANT VIGILANCE. Also I feel like such a jerk for the New England debacle 🤣
