How lucky to have your parents turn you on to early Warp artists and other electronic titans. My mind is blow that we're already at an age when a parent is passing on this music to a child. Very cool. Keep it going!

"Tunes that I can listen to them in every kind of life situation." Perfectly said. I think that a lot of good producers dive sometimes into their own artistical ideas so much so that they outreach the "minimum" global sense that a track can induce. Sure every artist should express his own ideas and go as far as he wants.

Damn, this comment section is a perfect example for jealous and frustrated people in our music scene. So full of hate cause they don't get shit done.. Just because someone has a room full of gear doesn't mean he/she is capable feeding it with good musical ideas. Why can't you guys be happy for him that he can enjoy his time making music with these amazing instruments?! There is place for everybody.

I'm jealous of all these artists' kids who were raised with UR vinyls (and I assume good literature, art and so forth) around and that, in their early twenties, have a studio I can only dream of. Damn. Meanwhile I'm working my ass off just to get some second hand cdj 350 and a very simple synth -- Anyway, keep the good job Ludwig

@@ElectronicBeatsTV Didn't mean it that way... just growing up with that cultural wealth. He's so lucky. I'm jealous in a good way. Normal parents tend to have more standard interests. Also, doesn't matter how hard you work down here in Spain in your early twenties, you can't have that studio unless your parents are loaded. Second world problems.

@@HoldYourRage If you have internet and a little bit of cash you can go a long way. You don't need expensive hardware to make good records. - Check Reaper as DAW. - Use TAL Plugins (there are also free ones). - Use the Reaper stock plugins for fx, mixing and mastering - Check the d16 Phosycon for acid sound. - Download free Goldbaby sample packs for drums etc - Check youtube for tutorials, samples, acapella's and old sci fi movies You have the basics of a old school house/techno studio begin 90s on your laptop. Listen to your favorite records and start to remake them, bar by bar. Start with easy clean ones where you can here all of the elements. hen your imagination takes you places. Enjoy.

Lucky guy. Velocity is a nice tune. Meanwhile, my musical friends and I think about ending it all every few weeks. The moment when you drop a new track after months of work every day after your shitty day job and just nobody gives a fuck and you think "Am i really that bad"?! On the other side you want to be proud of your stuff and want to get a little attention because you worked years on leaning audio stuff, mixing and song writing. And he says the only way to be successful as a musician is to focus on it completely... Yeah, for most of us that means complete solitude, addiction problems, depressed states and all that just with the little hope that someone says "sounds cool - I will listen to it a few times - your track really brightened up my day" I'm sorry, i wish everyone the best and to make people happy with their art but it just hitted me right now.

You don't have to try and develope an identity. To atain an authentic one you shouldn't try to be something or anyone specific. Not even try to be yourself, because that can block you from developing in certain ways, because it can make you think that you have to keep being in a specific way and that you're not allowed to do certain things, while it might benefit you more to move on and/or try out new things to discover yourself further. But on the other side, all journeys leads to true developement in the end. Trial and error :)
@smusic-vm1zd5 жыл бұрын
nym053 what you describe sounds like doing something very specific limiting yourself ;) (obviously that’s not what you mean but even not limiting yourself can be very limiting) In the end the best artists are probably the ones who do what they love, that’s what I think at least.
