You're right Lucas should break up with Brooke regardless. Brooke asked Peyton numerous times about whether she was Cool with the Lucas thing and Peyton repeatedly reassured Brooke. Brooke even said she felt she was being used to Peyton and Peyton told her to trust herself so for me when this comes out Brooke has every reason to be mad as Peyton and Lucas had numerous opportunities to be honest with Brooke.

I think part of my issue is that I totally ship Peyton and Lucas and was making excuses about why it's okay. And it's not. I totally agree. When I'm editing these videos it's crazy to think about how differently I felt just a season ago!

You know, I stared at that for so long when I was editing trying to figure out if he actually did that, as it seemed so odd. He just decided, now it's my turn? I went so far as to look up traffic laws in NC and see if he was allowed to do this. Lol. Totally his fault. That said, he certainly didn't seem impaired though. 🤷‍♀

Tbh, I think the couples therapy with Dan and Deb is a good idea. Not for them to work things out, they need to divorce and Dan needs to be assassinated. But because Dan's likely not gonna be assassinated any time soon, and as terrible a father as he is, he *is* still Nathan's father and at this point they kinda need to figure out how to coexist in a healthier way. Even though I will always say Dan shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near either of his sons or their Mothers... Plus, seeing Dan in Therapy is probably kinda good for Deb, having someone else kinda pointing out these things about him that she likely noticed in the past but just brushed it off because maybe she didn't realise how harmful it really was, or that she was right to be bothered. But really, I'm sticking with the assassination thing. Just get Dan out of their lives... And make it hurt... 🤣 That Nathan and Whitey scene is so sweet though. I know you were expecting a surprise of some sort, but I really like that it was actually just Nathan wanting to learn all he could about Whitey and then just telling him he's made a difference and convincing him not to quit. It almost felt more personal and meaningful. It showed that he cares. Whitey is a better Father to him than Dan is and that is final. I get that Lucas and Peyton wanna be together and all that, and they don't wanna hurt Brooke, but they already have. She just doesn't know it yet. That's the thing. Honestly, I think Brooke and Lucas started off as both of them just kinda wanting to have fun and hang out, and Lucas wanting to move on from Peyton. But then Brooke really caught feelings, and Lucas *did* grow to care about her and all that, but it just couldn't measure up to the feelings he's had for Peyton for much longer. Which is totally understandable, but *totally* unfair. Brooke doesn't deserve this. Especially as she specifically sent them off together because she trusted them and didn't want to make a crisis worse, and that's when it happened. Like, I understood that first time, emotions were high and Peyton had just been through a *horrible* experience of thinking her Dad was dead and then thinking she'd lost her bracelet from her Mum and all that. But they should've told Brooke as soon as they got back. It's horrible, because I hate understanding cheating, but I kinda can? I don't agree with it, *at all!* But I can see how it all happened and understand that they *are* still teenagers with quite a few issues. (But cheating is wrong, so Brooke deserved better...) The Naley stuff... Aaagh! All the Basketball stuff was of course adorable. I love seeing Nathan teaching Haley after she's been teaching him. Just a nice little reversal there. And I love how supportive he was. He definitely messed up by saying that at the end there though. Like, Haley should know that really, but that wasn't a great way for her to find out. I get it though. Nathan wasn't thinking and probably thought she'd already known that was why he went to her for tutoring. Like, by the time they started dating, it wasn't like that. I honestly believe it kinda stopped being that at the first Tutoring Session, but it was definitely no longer about that after the Beach House Party when he actually opened up to her for the first time. (No matter what he was telling himself...) But Haley definitely has a right to be upset by this. It really sucks. She'd been so defensive of him to Lucas on that subject, so to learn that he'd been right would be painful and embarrassing.

I love this take on couple's therapy! In hindsight, I totally agree with the Whitey stuff. It makes it more special that he did it just because he cared enough about him to learn about his life. I have A LOT of feelings about characters right now. (I'm currently about halfway through S2) that are SO different from when I watched this episode. Lol. That said, there is no good way for any of them (Lucas, Brooke, Petyon) to get together without hurting each other. But such is high school romance I guess. 🤷‍♀ I just didn't realize that Haley didn't realize what was going on. I 100% thought she knew he got with her to mess with Lucas and then caught feelings. I guess I need to pay better attention and stop screaming at Dan all the time. 🤣

@@hellohelloitsdana I think it’s possible that part of Deb was hoping to save their marriage, but there’s nothing that could make Dan any better really… Nathan and Whiteys relationship is really special to me. It feels like he was the only positive influence Nathan’s ever really had. Ooh! I’m looking forward to learning those feelings about characters!! Yeah, at this point both Brooke and Peyton like Lucas and in my opinion the three of them should just take a break from each other romantically. 🤣 I mean, I think she suspected it when he first went to her and all, but then probably got caught up in all the good and all that and it just kinda stopped feeling that way very quickly and so she likely convinced herself that wasn’t actually what it was. Don’t worry though, yelling at Dan is a very valid reason to miss things. 🤣

This situation (Lucas kissing peyton, even in the school where anyone could see them while dating Brooke) makes Lucas not good enough for Peyton or Brooke In my opinion lol. I hate that peyton would do that to Brooke, bc they are best friends. She told Brooke so many times to go after Lucas since she didn’t want to. Yeah we know she All liked him but she gave Brooke the go ahead so many times. My bff did that with my first love too so maybe I’m bias lol that shit sucked! They are both being trash bags right now 😂
