How will Nowbar be integrated with phones like A35 or A55, since the fingerprint sensor is placed towards the bottom of the screen rather than being placed towards the center of the screen like in S24/S24+ or S24 ultra

Good question, I’ve tried to put the music player placed down using good lock, but I had to move up a little for fingerprint sensor don’t interrupt the music buttons and ruin the ui

there is an option for you to choose an old app drawer. Alphabetical is the new, and custom is the old one , even if you can choose an old quick panel and notifications mixed up or new one , every thing is estimated by Samsung

You need to do that test which totally everyday users are gonna spam open and close loads of apps really fast the classic animation test to see if the animations improved with that looks the same on a single app open and close which is disappointing maybe the new one ui home up that has animation customizations will make it better than the stock animations idk if that's avaliable yet but there was the apk for it leaked a while ago

Not sure if I like the design, but they definitely tried to make the big phones of today more one hand user friendly by moving a lot of controls to the bottom (which in fact was the main theme of One UI anyway). This Now Bar makes a lot more sense than e.g. Dynamic Island on iOS. On iPhone it's a fancy gimmick, designed to hide the ugly and big camera bezel they couldn't remove, but in fact to use it you're not only permanently putting fingerprints on front camera lense but its high position requires to use your second hand. Placing a control like this at the bottom not only makes it one hand usable but you're able to let it disappeared completely - so makes much more sense.

For the zoom, I'd have made a dot that can be moved to the left or right and when tapped opens the zoom slider but it slides up and down the screen not left and right, would make it look miles nicer imo

I am currently in Tokyo and want to play remotely with Playstation 5 on my Samsung A8 tablet (Android 14). I tested everything before I left and it was ok. December 2023 I have already played via the same router and with this tablet in Japan and forwarding in Germany. All very good internet connections. I arrived in Japan and there were two updates to One Ui via Samsung. Now Remote no longer works. My provider has assured me that everything is ok in the home network. Reinstalling the Remote app didn't help. I'm supposed to be without PS5 for six weeks? Thank you Samsung! Samsung is over for me. We will switch. We have several Samsung tablets. They're all out of the house now. Cell phones are out of the question anyway, they had already lost before.

One could argue if this looks good or not, it's pretty subjective (it looks unrefined and overcooked to me) but the fact is that Samsung lost its identity. Trying to copy and include everything and anything, big design changes instead of refinement - there isn't anything special about it anymore.

The app drawer is vertical. You can make it horizontal by choosing Custom Order, but that means no more Alphabetical horizontal app drawer 🥲
