One Very Cool Nether Fortress! (Tensura: Roguelited Episode 8)

Welcome to our newest Minecraft series. In this one, we are taking a look at the Tensura: Reincarnated mod again, but with a whole bunch of addons now! This time, we have new races, new skills (Including Ultimate skills now!), and a Roguelike system where our skills and race gets rerolled on death, making a much more challenging run. Aha, I figured it out! If you use the CurseForge launcher, you can use this code to import the modpack and the configs, including the In-Game Wiki, but it expires on 2/09/25, so I'll try to keep it up to date:

We are using the [Tensura - In-Game Wiki] by 3xMike and SunWine, which you can find in the addons section of the Tensura: Reincarnated Discord. You can choose between earning Uniques or not, then it gives a quests file that goes inside of the ftbquests folder in config

You should get a alt account to steal skills from like you could steal chosen one and villain

I don't really want to do that. If I was still going through the mod normally and just showing everything off, I would consider it, but this is more meant to be a challenge run where we earn new Uniques through the mission tree

For the skills that you can get from doing damage/ killing mobs maybe set up a mob farm and maybe add a mod for custom spawners so you can make a villager spawner

That's probably not a bad idea. I'm looking into a bit more, and apparently there's an addon for the Create mod that lets you make spawners, so that's probably the one we're going to use

I'm curious what the odds are on the blaze spellbook, since we actually managed to get 2. We also got one of the blaze essences from Mysticism, which apparently only has a 1% chance to drop, so I feel like we got pretty lucky

22:15 I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure if you right click the armer piles a mob will spawn and if you kill it,it will drop netherite

I didn't think to try that, we'll have to go back and try it at some point

22:20 that's not iron. That's netherite. You can get netherite scraps from it

That makes more sense. I'm not entirely sure why I thought it was iron. We're going to have to head back with a better pickaxe to pick it up

Use the spirit orbs after your final evolution, it may not be much but it still something.

I'm either going to save them for our final evolution, or use them if we end up dying and starting over, since the extra health is probably most useful at the lower levels

If get magisteel you should make low magisteel armor with it. It is better than scale armor because it can get engraving. The best way to get magisteel is to use a dragon born pickaxe with fortune 3 and using great sage it will give more magisteel

It's probably going to take an episode or two to actually get armor going since I still need to set up an enchanter and find magic ore, but which engravings should I be searching for on the armor? In the last series I ended up using dragon skin for most of the series, so I didn't get to see what armor engravings there were, and how much they make up for the difference in armor

engravings (especially on armor) aren't something you should be looking for unless you really wanna be using the best gear, if i remember correctly the only ones found on armor are sturdy, elemental boost (1-2), elemental resistance (1-2), and for helmet specifically, breathing support pretty much, the only good ones are the elemental ones, but hihiirokane gear is so good in terms of armor that it doesnt really matter much weapons on the other hand are different in a sense that the very rare engravings might have a slight edge, a soul eater engraved weapon can be given to a mob in order to farm the spiritual resistance

@seed4018 Thank you for the info. I've only ever seen sturdy and I think level 1 of one of the elemental engravings, so it's nice to know that I wasn't missing much as far as armor goes. Weapons I'm a bit more familiar with, but I haven't seen soul eater before, so I kind of hope we get to see it in this series

You need to break those armours with a diamond pickaxe(diamond level or above), they can drop netherite scraps and cinder essences. Idk if they have skills tho

I am not 100% sure if they stack but i think its better to aim for skills that makes skill be learned faster like the hinata one mastial master since you have alot unique skills to get

They definitely do stack, in the original series we had mathematician and sage at the same time and saw it work first hand. I was actually discussing how quickly we could learn every skill if we got all the learning boosts with someone in the comments of last episode

I am pretty sure eating or killing with Gourmet gives you 50% EP instead of 5%

It does, but it only works the first time you eat a mob

Nah, those orbs arent something that you desperately will need in tensura

The extra hearts really only seem helpful at the very start. An extra heart or 2 means nothing when you have 400 hearts, but it might keep you alive for extra moment or 2 when you only have 10
