I'll bet an 84" 4n1 bucket on the "Groader" would definitely increase the versatility of that machine. The concept of that set up is intriguing.

OMG! I spent SOOO much time on Case loaders. It was good to hear that sound again. Steering them was so easy, never needed your feet unless you wanted to do a sharp turn. The bucket grade indicator is on the right curl arm. The new machine is definitely intriguing. Wouldn't mind trying that for about 30 minutes.

Maudlin advertises that unit as a “maintainer”, 130hp Cummins. Given you guys comments about the loading/scooping capabilities, the engineers must have gotten the weight distributed well... Wow..! that squeak on the Case track loader would absolutely drive me crazy... Great video, Thank you sir.

this has a length advantage for balance over a skidsteer, engine is in the back alot further so different center of gravity. Same as a similar weight backhoes can generally outperform same weight excavators in terms of lifting and bucket size.

The first time I saw one of those types (not the same brand) of machines was about 22 years ago in Southern California. The machine was labelled a Pucket (the brand name). It was being used to grade off large pads, for concrete tilt-up construction, to prep for slab installation. To further the "weirdness factor" that machine did not have rippers at the back....It had (3) vibra-plates (hydraulically driven) instead. Once grade was established the plates would be lowered (raised and lowered just like a ripper) to compact the finish grade.

Very cool machine IMO....How about adding quick change tracks (tri-wheel) - put 'em just on the rear, just the front or both....Add a quick change snow plow or a dozer blade to the front....how about a backhoe attachment for the front or for the back (need a rotating cab)? The add-on accessory portfolio would be endless ... could it replace the farm tractor?
@sunshaker01
@sunshaker01 3 жыл бұрын
@@sharpshorts If I remember correctly from Chris' video of it it has a Skidsteer Quick Attach on the back with hydraulics and high flow, so for us up north in winter a snow pusher or brush or bucket on the front and a snowblower on the back. For summer time maybe a Harley Rake or a Compacting Roller on the back.

@@sunshaker01 Yes, Quick attach both ends from memory. 1st thing I (and others) thought of was to put vibrating compactor on the back. Basically, anything you can put on a skid steer will fit this machine. I assume that was a major factor in it's design.

That case sounded so sweet, love cumming engines, so reliable as well. That grader with the shovel is definitely for doing a particular type of work, driveways etc. It reminds me a little of the Volvo L20, small and compact. Not sure but it would be interesting if you could drop the grader, then have a conversion piece on the front to take skid steer attachments, it would then be an all around vehicle.

The little multi grader needs to go way back and check out the old Austin Western grader that was also 4 wheel drive but the rear could be turned separate from the front. This enabled it to "crab" with the wheels all on smooth graded ground after the first run. I used it to finish rough street grade to finish grade. This unit would/could have the same ability. It also worked for parking lots. The little Austin Westerns were used on the original Alaskan Highway to keep it graded and open. The would also turn nearly a square corner. They did a good job grading around houses as well.

I can see it as a land clearing beast. Mount a mulcher on the boom and your lot i is clear. It can support a grappple for moving log/ The ripper will deal with roots or hard packed ground. The first use I saw for it is snow removal. a boom mounted blower will handle any size drifts. You can build monster piles with snow pusher. I do not know how man y Aux functions are supported. I believe it can use more than a simple fixed angle plow blade. The grader blade could clear limited snowfalls. I can see it even used on western farms for snow removal and skid steer work. I do not know if it can handle Large round bales. I am sure Smart farmers ( Is there any other kind? ) could find more uses for it. I hope there will be videos of it with more attachments. She certainly is built for multiple uses Many thanks guys.
