The comments by fellow Indians on the music is interesting. Classical Indian music isnt very popular in India and many Indians find it hard to appreciate.They usually come across the music on videos made by foreigners in India. A bit sad that we look at Indian Classical music as music of a stereotyped India.
@shedot.travels2 жыл бұрын
Yeah really interesting to hear from an Indian perspective and something I hadn't though about! While I was in India, I literally heard no Western music so I thought it seemed a bit disrespectful to then use Western music in my videos, but interesting to hear different point of views!
@mayankm52002 жыл бұрын
Its not a classical music in any sense
@salempasangasp2 жыл бұрын
@@shedot.travels the thing is most heard music on internet as "classical indian"" Are not in fact classical most of the times if you're looking for it go with some carnatic Or hindustani Or just have some music with the instrument from that region of india.... ( hindustani style is less relatable in the South (kerala and parts) that's why people seem to not "like" It)

I think the wildlife sanctuary is oriented more towards preservation/propagation of the species there (some of which are endangered) while the well-being of individual animals is of secondary concern which is rather unfortunate. And anyways animal welfare is not very good in Kerala in general. I remember seeing traveling circuses with chained up animals when I was a little kid and I'm only in my 20s. Also btw Varkala is pronounced VAR-ka-la not var-KA-la and the music you chose was kind of funny - doesn't fit Kerala culture really (as a comparison it'd be like playing Pibroch music or an Irish jig while on a tour of London - i.e. you chose music from contexts/places that are geographically close enough but at the same time culturally quite different) And you're right about the commissions - the auto drivers do have deals with all the shops and restaurants they take you to but it seems like they didn't rip you off too badly. The scarf was reasonably priced but you probably could've haggled down the price of the earrings.
@shedot.travels2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for your comment. Yeah that's what it felt like to us, that the individual animal maybe wasn't being looked after so well. Thank you for correcting the pronunciation, I bet I pronounced so much wrong while I was there as well haha! A few people have commented on the music which I found really interesting, annoyingly theres only a small amount of music to choose from that you can use on KZbin that's not copyrighted so I didn't have a lot of choice but hopefully if I go back to India I can learn more about the music and choose it better next time :)
