The Range Rover practically invented the luxury SUV segment decades ago and now an all-new generation is back.
Highlights of the powertrain include a base turbocharged and supercharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 395 horsepower or an optional twin-turbo V8 with 523 horsepower, an eight-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel-drive, and an anti-roll air suspension.
This generation is about three inches longer than before, and short-wheelbase and long-wheelbase versions are available, the latter of which can now be had with three rows of seats for the first time. That's what we tested here. The exterior has been given a thorough makeover, and while the front design looks much like the previous version, it's the sleek rear end that we love best.
Interior highlights include butter-soft leather seats (that smell amazing, a curved infotainment display and digital instrument panel, heated/cooled/massaging front seats, and power-folding everything.
While there's plenty of room in the front and middle row of seats, we sat in the third row and found it pretty tight for real adults.
So is all of this enough to top rivals like the Mercedes GLS, BMW X7, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, and Lexus LX600? Check out our review to find out!
