check the chronology of the violence…it all started from the rally…where gun wielding SoO cadres took control , created a mob and started burning meitei village. from there it spread across kuki dominated districts and systematic burning down and violence of meitei homes were started! the core issue of Narcos and drugs has been muddled up behind the smoke screen of this ‘ethnic’ violence!

The tri boundaries of India, Burma n Bangladesh set up on the native KukiZo areas in the 40's suddenly made them citizens of 3 different countries. If Meitei claims Kabaw valley belongs to Manipur, the Kukis r dominant settlers there too. So there's no too much Indian, Burmese about KukiZo people, since the boundaries came later. Meiteis want ST, land grabbing policy n targeted the Kukis first, because after driving them off, they want the land for extensive poppy cultivation being the dominant community in all govt. machineries, including poppy drug investors. Manipur is a very corrupt state. They dare not target the ever Manipur break-up mongering Nagas because they are afraid of NSCN (IM), their strategic dominance n their livelihood lines would be cut off immediately. So they opt them in second phase.

Do you know Myanmar is presently in hot war between the Junta govt and rebels groups,this the reasons for past few years very high quantities of drugs illegally entered india through porous borders to keep financed the ongoing war, poppy is mainly extensively grown in Myanmar than in Manipur by most rebel groups as their primary sources of revenue. There are also Chinese drug cartels present between China-Myanmar borders that controlled trafficked drugs illegal money arms and ammunition etc. into India.

Let me spit some facts (pills that'd be hard to swallow for many). Everyone are to be blamed because both community let poltics get the better of them. The Meeties (not everyone) has created a modern urban anarchy by handing weapons to men and tennergers without realisation of it consequences. On the other hand, the Kukis (not everyone) has long sheltered armed militant outfits under its wing. Who then controls the very functioning of its society. Both party need realisation that there is a nefarious higher power-play in these violence. And normal civilians are nothing but its pawn. They thought using the term Tribal will save them from all the illicit and illegal activities. In reality, Kuki immigrants become tribal as ST only by 1956. They are immigrants first tribal later. Kukus arrived only in 1830s and then followed by adopting more of kind as Refugees since 1950s and then followed by illegal immigration till date.
