This is absolutely incredible, what a transformation! I love how you've reused so much to create this homestead and the insande amount of vegetables you've managed to grow. Awesome work! Thanks for sharing! Where did you get those large black tarp things that you had laid over some garden beds? I’m looking for options myself but all I’m finding is very expensive, and I need as large of dimensions as possible. Thank you!

Don’t forget that with every new building you construct your property taxes will go up. Sometimes substantially! You did a great job for your first year and I truly hope that you’re not one of those new farmers who ends up giving up within 5 years. Deer will eat your garden, something will figure out that you have chickens, eventually you’ll realize that having chickens for eggs and meat isn’t all it’s cracked up to be because unless you grow your own feed it’s more expensive to have them than to just buy eggs at the store. Sorry, I don’t mean to be a downer but I’m seeing way too many comments about people hoping to do this. You make it sound easy…but the first year usually is. It’s years number 2,3 and 4 that will cause you to wonder what you got yourself into. Good luck!
