Why do you believe flight protectors are worthless?

@@danvonsaintgeorge563 They're only opinions and they will vary from person to person. My opinion of them is they don't fix the reason why you need them in the first place. The lip where the point meets the barrel is what causes damage to flights. So get rid of that lip with Winmau Free Flo points, Target Storm points or even Trident nose cone thingy's and there is no need for flight protectors 👍

I'm not sure I mentioned this enough in the video but they 100% feel lighter than 22g. They feel a lot lighter than the 22g MvG's I just reviewed.

Kinda nice looking set. I've got a few sets with them, but for the most part I just don't bother with them, but what's wrong with flight protectors? That's pretty cool how these straight barrels appear to be torpedoes. I'm not a big fan of torpedo shaped barrels, just pretty cool how they pulled that off by changing the pattern at just the right place. I also like the shape of the nose, and how nicely it transitions into the point. I think overall I like them. I'm not sure I like them $24 worth, but they're ok.

Flight protectors are pretty much worthless imo. Your flights get wrecked because of the lip where the point meets the barrels. So fix that issue with Storm points, Winmau Free Flow points or Trident 180's and then there's no need for flight protectors 👍 Not too mention, when i see pics of darts posted online it seems to be only Americans that use them. Knurl, aluminum stems and flights protectors = 100% American player. Not bashing though, just pointing out how different the darting culture is here in the states 😁

@@WorldwideDarts Ok got it👍 The only reason I used them was just to help hold my flights opened up to 90°. Beyond that, I never really noticed any other benefits from them. I always thought they were kind of ugly, at least those pointy ones. Designa has those flat topped ones that aren't too bad though, and they're also easier to install. I had a set of those in aqua blue (which I thought was closer to jade, but whatever) that looked kind of interesting on clear flights and clear stems. If I remember, I had them on a set of natural colored Unicorn T90 barrels. I just looked them up on DC, and their item number for the barrel shape and grip is D2122.

Nope. Straight as can be. 6.3mm the entire length of the barrel before tapering ever so slightly to the stem

Knurls on most darts are a massive turn off for me. Only good when done right, and this is one of those times.

I'm in the same boat. I strongly dislike knurl but bought these just to try something different. If you look at all the models it would be quite certain that I should have bought the style 'F' but I switched things up here. Glad I did because I shockingly really like these darts.

Knurled :( only worked for me on my old brass set. Having said that, it's also just plain ugly.

I agree, it's ugly. It reminds me of the cheap darts that come with the cheap dartboards. Imo knurl = seems cheap
