I have way less than you, and I came to the same conclusion about indie, colorful eyeshadow. I don't love bold stories as much as I thought I did (especially dark shimmers where I wear a full face to make it look somewhat okay) These days, I struggle to make an impactful look work with my casual classic style and I'd rather use a colorful blush or lip product than a showstopper eyeshadow look. The neutral palettes are the ones I reach for without even thinking about it (and I love Sydney Grace for that reason).

Wow you decluttered a lot. I’m going to declutter this weekend too. Since doing my no pan left behind project I find myself not wanting to wear color on the eyes either and wear it in my clothes look at us moving on from so much color on the eyes 😅

My typical goal for decluttering is getting rid of ones that I know I don't like so that I reach for the ones I haven't thought about in a while. It usually generates a lot more use out of them and I often rediscover favorites.

I’m curious what else left! Good for you for parting with these and letting go of your fantasy self! That is a hard task. It totally makes sense it took days. Btw that Sydney Grace Southern Summer can dupe the BH smitten in Switzerland. The SG Eastern Fall dupes the Nomad Tuscany palette.

This wasn’t a collection video but a declutter. I don’t open all palettes and drawers because I either know what I want or don’t. I’ve mentioned this in the past and only film these because I know everyone likes to see the process. My process is different from others and in order to declutter I have to do it my way. When I do an eyeshadow collection video I do open all palettes

De un tiempo para acá ya no uso tanto color en mis ojos, te entiendo, prefiero usar en la ropa, también ya aprendí que no todos los colores en los ojos se me ven bien. Si quieres usar color en tu eyelook pueded combinarlo con ropa neutra talvez adquirir una playera o blusa negra o neutra o un vestido en esos colores y um maquillaje fullcolor se ve genial asi como ropa full color y maquillaje neutro . I've gotten rid of several colorful palettes too. I don't wear colorful shadows as often as I used to. But am keeping some in case I decide a month from now that I'm really into color again. lol

I did the same thing earlier in the year. I was guilty of the whole "I might want to reach for it again" thing. If I haven't reached for it in 6 months, I got rid of it. For years I loved pinks/purples and mauves, now I mainly reach for neutrals. The biggest palette purchase that I regret buying was Heutopian dream, got it for 50% off and I realised I don't like her special shades formula. Definitely not surprised that you decluttered the Adept palette

I threw away about 20 due to them being so old and the formula changing (got mushy or dried out or got super crumbly) meaning they expired. We like to think that makeup lasts forever but unfortunately it doesn’t so it’s better to use it while we can and give away whatever doesn’t excite us. I’m looking to donate a handful that are new or in very good condition. I’m not wearing a lot of colorful eyeshadow anymore due to my mental health struggles, lack of time and fatigue. I don’t even always even wear neutrals or any makeup when I go out with my boyfriend. He thinks I’m still beautiful without it. 🥰 However, I’m in an Amazon PR type program (invite from Amazon only), and I got the Wet and Wild Nightmare Before Christmas collection PR box in PR. I’m testing out that package including the palette which is half neutrals and half colorful shades. It has been fun to play with some makeup again.

This isn’t an eyeshadow palette collection video. I declutter how my brain works. I have to do it the way I do or I will rethink things. This is why I don’t often film these because my process isn’t everyone else’s. I have to do it my way to make it work for me.
