You don't die from isolation, at least not right away. You become impoverished on a soul level because we are not separate beings having relationships. We are the totality of our relationships. Thus in order to be truly healthy, we must enrich our relationships - not only with the people in our lives, but also with the ecosystems around us.
This conversation is part of the Commune course, A Path to Healing People and Planet, hosted by Dr. Zach Bush and Farmer’s Footprint. The course explores how we can change our mindset from consumers to co-creators and how to establish cycles that are regenerative versus destructive.
You can watch the full program with a trial of Commune Membership at onecommune.com/trial. Commune Membership includes more than 130 courses on personal and societal well-being, including two other courses with Zach - Vital Health and The Superpowers of Your Gut - and one full-length course with Charles, titled Political Hope.
In this episode we cover:
00:00:14 - Humanity in the Digital Realm
00:11:14 - Human Consciousness
00:23:14 - Free Will
00:26:14 - Relationship
00:43:14 - Presence
00:53:14 - Farmer’s Footprint
00:59:14 - Co-Creation

The gem messages I heard from both of you is timely for me. Crippled with mysterious illness that keeps me isolated and indoors I had tried everything. I had eventually withdrawn from the world because it was too painful, too excruciating to face it. Your words have inspired me again tol keep my relations close to me and lean on those. My relationship with the ash tree in my back garden( and birds and sky), anything i can relate to from my window view) is crucial to seeing myself get through the day, crucial to my sanity . If I can extend this beyond maybe I can begin to heal further. Blessings to you❤️🙏🌿🕯️

Thank you both. You are my tribe and I can feel the momentum that we are finally synergizing into manifest form. I have experienced and witnessed very dark aspects in my lineage and in our human history of ritual, sexual abuse and trafficking. I feel more empowered than ever. We are showing the way for others through our own courage to look directly into that which does not want to be seen. The moment we choose to witness it and have it see us witnessing it, we are both changed.

Thank you! I love being alone and have quite a lot of resistance to socializing, but am learning about the importance of human fellowship. (and non-human including frogs!) Community is definitely part of the new earth I envision.. "When I am healed I am not healed alone." - A Course in Miracles. Seeing without the use of eyes is possible and has been experienced - I loved that episode you shared.

once. years ago. i knew activities that revolved around friends and family. and leader of meetings. making speeches, presenting financial info. BUT now, i am better alone. i get anxious around gatherings, and dinner parties . i don't know what to say, how to respond, or even exist in that environment . i am comfortable at home, alone. i do miss the camaraderie. life changes .

Love this detail and depth ... love the frog part ... i had no children .. but ive watched most of my nieces and nephews roll their eyes whenever the parents got the cameras out ... which was just far too tediously often ... not sure how the frogs experience would be changed by having a photo taken instead of getting longer personal attention .. but i know a bit about how the kids' awareness is affected by it. Thats always disturbed me a bit and i too have gone round the world taking pictures. A few select ones are precious reminders of places. Most are just too much! I love going out now without camera and phone.

This conversation, especially the story about you looking toward each other at the same moment, reminds me of Dr Jacob Liberman’s work around our impulse to look toward something is because it is calling for our attention/presence.

The idea of raising consciousness or that some people are more conscious than others is a misunderstanding. We are consciousness so you cannot be more or less conscious. Monday, 9 October 2023 9:21 AM What can happen is that you can become conscious of things that you were not conscious of before. What we are striving for when we talk about expanding consciousness or raising consciousness, the yearning is we recognise that there's something that's been in shadow that we have not been conscious of that we really seek to bring into our awareness, to become conscious of that and when something enters into consciousness that hadn't been there before then it changes everything; it changes who you are, what you choose, how you know, how you relate - simply because you are attending to things you had not attended to before. The power of attention is what brings something into the body. Anything you pay attention to becomes part of you. When you pay attention to anything you are no longer who you were before that. You take information in.

Technology is a tool. Like a hammer, we can use the internet and microchips to build or destroy. It's entirely up to us... I think. It seems to me that freedom of speech is the centerpiece to a collectivistic society. If we use technology to communicate, and allow technology to filter and censor that communication, we *will* become divided. To me, that's the source of our problems. The food industry is just an extension of handing our communication over to advertisers on technology. Perception is everything. Hitler showed us what one human can do to perception, and we learned from it. So if we were to be manipulated to that extent again, I think it would be through a new medium of communication... Not human to human, but human to microchip to human. A big red flag with communication is when it only goes one way. Two-way communication is key, otherwise you're literally being brainwashed.
