Choctaw are not a plains Indian tribe, and never had powwows like the Plains tribes did. I don't know why they are trying to have powwows now, like they have always had powwows.

My grandfather robert hanna was full blooded Choctaw..my mother looks just like the women in this pow wow...erie.

A’HO!!! Did the Choctaw have Dog Soldiers like the Cheyenne??? Unless this pow-wow is also intertribal!!!

Negative from my studies and research only the Cheyenne had Dog Soldiers. The choctaw however were also fierce warriors. I would suggest out of all their chiefs you read the story of Chief Pushmataha. He is revered as the greatest of the chiefs.
