Question on homing. I saw on the Elite there is some hack to make homing faster, and on my Shapeoko there was a command to send to make it home faster. Is there anything on the Pro controller that you know of to home faster?

There is not, nor do we recommend changing any default settings.

I purchased a onefinity recently but the user interface that came installed is completely different from the one in your videos. Has onefinity done an update? Do you have any videos on using the latest interface?

Smashing the E-stop button won't turn the router off right? You'll still have to do that yourself either on the router or using a switch on the panel as you do.

Iam not going to order a screen from onefinity..so I guess my question is what cables are required to get your after market monitor working with the onefinity setup?.
@OnefinityCNC2 жыл бұрын
Just like any screen, a power cable for power, and a hdmi cable for video. It the screen has 'touch' capability, it will use a usb cable for touch.

This is a very good tutorial but I am not even at this stage yet after 2 weeks of set-up. Infinity provides about 50% of what you need to get started. It is up to you to figure out dust collection, cable management, design software, safety, secure mounting, washboard scheme, piece-securing, and just about every other imaginable facet of potential use of the machine. I am thinking that it will be a few months before I create my piece, if I don't give up.
@OnefinityCNC2 жыл бұрын
You can do it!

I know the feeling, I received mine earlier this week. It's my first contact with a CNC or any similar device, so I'm very green with this. There's so much to think of. My humble suggestion: baby steps, one small victory at a time and enjoy the process. Things don't need to be perfect the first time. It's possible to rig something temporarily, like for cable management or dust collection, in order to be able to move forward, and improve them afterward, once it's working. If you would see my setup, you would laugh. Yet, this is allowing me to surface the wasteboard, and do my first few trial cuts on foam later today. Yes, it's a big challenge, but I think of it as lot of small challenges that can all be taken care of one at a time. It feels great to get through them, seeing the progress made. The nice results will come afterwards.

Do you ever need to tell the system the size of your stock? Or is that just your responsibility when setting up?

Great content and very helpful for me. 1 question though, during shutdown I have to actually flip the switch off on my controller or it (Fan) continues to run... Is this normal or once I hit SHUTDOWN on my monitor should it kill the power to the controller also? I was a bit confused when you explained it because you didn't mention to turn off the actual controller once the monitor screen go's to the black screen!
@OnefinityCNC3 жыл бұрын
Bill, After shutting down on the screen, once it goes black, you flip the switch to turn off power.
@billbaggins99613 жыл бұрын
@@OnefinityCNC Ok good, that's what I have been doing. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't supposed to turn off when just clicking the SHUTDOWN from the screen. Thanks again
