Just out of curiosity, I looked up the art book she is pulling out in the library "Les Fauves". Les Fauves (Wild Beasts in French) was the name given to a group of early 1900's modern artists whose work was characterized by "strong colors and fierce brushstrokes". The only Fauvist I had heard of was Henri Matisse, but I know almost nothing about painters, aside from the very famous ones, like Matisse.
