When we think of Shavuot or Pentecost we typically look at the upper room where the Holy Spirit was poured out, but if we take a deeper dive into the cultural context of this holiday and the other narratives in this festival we get a deeper view of God's heart for the nations. Dive in with us and discover more about the feast of Shavuot!

I have a Jewish patient who has been debilitated by covid, left nearly paralyzed. He loved it when we talked about the scripture, he is orthodox. I shared hosea, Isiah, job, and exodus with him. Please pray for him that the seed of God's word will grow, and for healing. Thank you for your prayers!

This was the first Shavuot that I stayed up all night here in Australia. I was listening to different teaching and it seemed so polarised: the law; grace; Ruth, Naomi and Boaz; the Gentile bride; the baptism in The Holy Spirit; the harvest - I felt dizzy! Then I listened to this beautiful reflection and it has brought it all together and has brought peace to this Shavuot for me... it will be a reflection I return to each year... if we have that much time! If not - we'll be celebrating all together with our beloved Bridegroom... Thank you, dear Brother and Sister - and everyone at One For Israel! Shalom, Maranatha and Chág Shavuot Sameach 🙏

@@sarahrickman6609 It's in the Bible in the Book of Acts the second chapter. It doesn't literally say what the other person wrote, but the inference is there. In other words, you can assess from what was written in Acts and how the reactions of the first church apostles meshed together to show us unity. No secret here if you study and do the research. In school, it's called "compare and contrast."

The clarity of the truth moved my mind as you both spoke. Especially, when you paused at the fact as written, that "PEOPLE FROM EVERY NATION UNDER HEAVEN" were present at the wonderful "PENTECOST". It makes a great sense that people from every Nation who heard of the Resurrection of Christ Jesus must have travelled to Jerusalem quickly for eye witness accounts, which was, and still is forever the biggest event in the world 🌎. Not to mention the supernatural mystery about the people from every Nation, hearing the Disciples in their own respective languages as St Peter narrated the event with Holy Spirit confidence. Blessed be God forever 🙏

Absolutely, but remember their "world" was not the same as we have today. It was concentrated among a few nations in the Middle East. If you go to a Bible map and trace the people in those Scriptures, you'll see that the region is small; certainly not the entire planet of people as today.

Had the most amazing dream from the Lord last night 🤍 It was my dad and I (Abba) and we were talking about I don't know what. I never remember what our conversations are but that's ok. He gave me a giant hug and told me I am going to give you something now. He touched me on my forehead and there was a giant rushing wind that entered my body. It threw me back like three feet and I landed on the floor. I told him I have never felt the Holy Spirit like that 🤍 it was the most peaceful incredible feeling EVER. He then told me to go gather my brothers. In the next scene we are in some sort of old movie theater. My whole family was there. Aunt's, uncle's, brothers, sister, mom :) He was going to sit with me but then he told me he was going to go sit with my brothers. I sat down two rows up from him next to my younger brother and we watched as he sat with our two other brothers Eli and Aaron. He put his arms around them and they both laid down on his bosom. Then the next scene it is my wedding day and I was all dressed in my wedding gown. The groom didn't want to see me and kept laughing and saying I can't see you until it is time so he walked around backwards 🤍 Our wedding rings were in our Bible opened to a marriage certificate 🤍 That's it 😍 since waking up all I can do is smile 😁 there is a feeling of overwhelming joy and peace I can't explain 🤍🤍🤍🤍 Just wanted to share cause wow just wow 😍 We are getting so close 🥰🥰🥰

Praise G-d!! That is a sweet dream from the Lord. I know it's soon because yrs ago I had a left behind Dream and there was no food. There had been rioting and looting. Businesses were ruined and burned. Windows smashed, doors hung on hinges. Trash blew down the street because there was no trash service anymore. There were no bird song anymore and no sound. People were scared and or dead. There were no rats because they were eaten either by people or cats or something else. There were also cannabals hunting us that were running and we were running from them and they had sharpened their teeth to points. They roared as they ran after us like they were demon possessed. It was a nightmare.

@@sarahrickman6609 for real though 😳 I have had dreams of the tribulation as well. Sooo scary. I saw the sores on people as they stood in line waiting to see Drs I am assuming. Nasty 🤢 Lots and lots of evil. I have so many dreams it is just nuts. Volcanoes, earthquake's, falling stars, lots of military, camps they will keep people saying there is something wrong with the water, I also saw lots of people who will resist. Scary stuff but it will all be ok and many many many people will call on the name of Lord. I also saw the world after the fire of Lord burns everything up. The way I describe it is the Latter Rain. The land will be restored to a lush beautiful landscape. All the cars, factories, man made crap will all be burned up and replaced with vegetation 😍

1. I believe the 3000 that perished in Genesis were part of the large group of people "sleeping" that Jesus went and preached to during His three days in hell. 2. You touched on 'tablets' and 'grace'. Peter, James and John are always written in that order. Why? 🤔 Peter = stone. James = replace. John = Grace. The 'stone' tablets will be 'replaced' by 'Grace'. 😁 Great video. 🤗 You guys sound GREAT together. Proof that team work makes the dream work.

Here's a thought... Since God commands all Jewish men to come to Jerusalem traveling from all nations, (Jews at that time were dispersed and living in other countries, as today), for this feast, don't you think that these "onlookers" that "heard" the 120 in the upper room, that they were indeed ALL JEWS, and NOT Gentiles as we have been taught? This reveals, and brings new light to our thinking of Shavout (Pentecost), as believers... so the outpouring was first to the Jews, and then the Gentiles. This is consistent with the very nature and heart of God. I see in scripture, as God poured out his Holy Spirit, it was to the Jews first, then later in Acts, the Spirit was given to us Gentiles... Also, as the Spirit gave utterance...the scripture says, people "HEARD" them speak each in the own native tongue, NOT that they spoke in each native tongue. I believe that is prophetic in nature. That God will open the ears of the Hebrew nation.

A question. What commandments is put into our hearts? The ten Laws. The Law of love God and neighbor. The commandments of Jesus. Or is it all of them together? 🤔 We read if you love me keep my commandments. And the patience of the saints is to keep the commandments of God and faith of Jesus. Sp as a Christian we know it's still very important to keep the commandments that have been placed in our hearts and minds. The only way to keep any commandment is by the blood of Messiah covering them. Thanks 😊

All sin is sin but there is a sin unto death, I'd have you not ask of this. Not abiding in love is the Sin Unto Death. 1 JOHN 4 says that God is love and we must love others or we have no relationship with Christ. Jeremiah 7 tells who are kept behind after the Restrainer departure the abortionist idolaters and the Oppressors. Hear what the spirit has to say.

Without a temple and without being in Israel, we can observe only partial. Based on scripture I look at how GOD tells us to observe and not based on men who may add man made traditions into the Feasts. Not saying this ministry does, but some do. 💕

Thank you so much for your faithful ministry of God’s word to first and foremost the Jewish nation but not limited thereunto, that you reach the nations. Another topic I know could easily be expanded to a whole lecture that I would love to hear you expound upon: in Deuteronomy 23:3, as you mentioned here, Moabites even descendants to the 10th generation were never allowed to enter the assembly of the Lord. And yet King David was fourth generation after Ruth. Therefore should he be not excluded from the assembly of the Lord? Interesting lecture topic. I would love to hear YOUR take on that. I pray for the continued blessings of the Lord in His word going forth, and your part in that mission.

I love these teachings but I have a question. Why as you said if God wrote His law on our heart and minds we resist so hard to not only keep them but even teach them? Mind you I don’t mean for salvation but because we are saved. Shouldn’t we want to keep HIs holy and perfect laws to glorify Him and be a light to the nations? He says so many times if you love me you will keep my commandments?

It’s also interesting according to Jewish tradition that when God spoke his words split into tongues of fire so that the 70 nations (70 according to the table of nations in Gen 10 ) would also be able to hear the giving of the Torah, Israel the only one to step forward to accept the responsibility, Israel being the lamp through which the Messiah would come forth and shine, I also think it’s interesting that it’s silent on the giving of the Torah, this my opinion, points to how the final harvest of believers is not known the day or hr, only the signs of the time. Much more could be said about this. May the LORD continue to draw HIS people Israel and those from the nations to HIM.

I feel like Noemi being the Bible, treating so loving to the Christians with the New Testament, and one of another book of the Old Testament... "Romanning" contexts, like going to church on Sundays, and celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving day, Christmas, new years eve, Easter bunnies, and even Halloween... Ignoring the commandments, the MOADIM of Lev 23, ignoring the TRIBES, the Tanakh! Having Bible, with a dead husband... The European/Greek Jesus. During the PANDEMIC, many Christians recently fell in love with Israel, Jewish people, Hebrew language, history, Archeology, the Toráh and finally the Ancient paths, the Biblecal ISRAEL! Like telling to the Israel of the Tanakh... For where you go, I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge, your people shall be my people and your God my God! Now we left Sundays for Friday evenings to Saturday evenings, having MOADIM observing the moon and the sun, leaving the west for the East, Christ for the Mashiakh, God for Adonái, pentateuch for Toráh, Old Testament for Tanakh, new Testament for the Brit Hadashah... Gleaning from the Kinsman field! YESHÚA. Also, Noemi in Moab, out of the truly land like Jewish people trusting in the Talmud... Obviously, most of the ones that got out of religion for going to the ancient path would feel identified with Rut. Shalom in your hearts, Yeshúa's prepared and adorned Beautiful Bride.

So from the perspective of a grafted-in twig in the Tree of Jerusalem Redeemed, Let me give thanks, as Ruth must have, when Boaz received her as beloved husband redeemer before the Nation of Israel, and to himself, as wife. To be among those scorned, gleaning the fields of a godly man, having been deprived of her previous husband, but having adopted her own husband’s mother out of loyalty and her own sense of Accountability, Ruth is also a daughter of the Promise of Abraham. Such is the life of a Goya girl growing up in the Shadow of Zion. Her courage and willingness to be humble, to reject the temptation of running backwards, places her in Direct Lineage of her husband’s own mother, Rahad, who was undoubtedly also looked upon as both unworthy of the Nation of Israel, but also the mother of the 1st generation born in The New Kingdom Beyond the Jordan, the mother of Future Kings, David and Solomon.. and Yeshua, Christ Jesus. In the midsummer of 2014, while recovering from a series of illnesses in the wake of a middle back spinal fracture, I was taking a shower one morning before I was fully awake, and the Holy Spirit spoke to me saying, “ It’s gonna be Rahab, Ruth and Ricca.” Stunned, I asked Him, “ Lord? That’s some pretty tall cotton. Aren’t they in Your Lineage?” He said nothing in return, but when I went to check my embarrassingly poor knowledge of His Ancestry, of course.. there they were. That’s been 8 years ago, probably to the precise time of this week, though I couldn’t actually be certain, since I don’t know if I kept a journal of it at the time, because it was a confusing thing at the time, due to my relative lack of understanding of Old Testament scriptures. Since then, resources such as these have taught me so much about my historical Jewish roots, that my Foundation in Christ has become increasingly fortified by the Grace that made my Propitiation before the Throne of Heaven. This time of year has had meaning for me from my teens onward, but now that I see it through the Lens of Pentecost, it has become even more poignant, particularly between now and the Feasts of Tabernacles and Atonement. This year seems like it could be the most significant year for Israel and the Larger Body & Bride of Christ, since the Nations of Israel and the United States were formed, as I think everyone who calls upon the Name of the LORD has grown weary of the temporary, political “solutions and remedies” that quite literally have yielded little more than an “appearance of righteousness” for the last 2000, and even 3000, and even 6000 years. The World is incapable of healing the wounds inflicted without subjugation to a System that merely worships Its Own Reflection. Only in Christ may a truly searching soul find her own Peace. Much Love. Many blessings. Let us Stand as One for Israel. Let Israel Stand as One for Christ! Amen 🙏 amen.

I know that the accepted theory throughout Christiandom is that the Holy Spirit fell in the upper room but it doesn't actually say that in the book of acts. But it says they abode or dwelled there. But it does say that they were continually in the Temple praying and praising God. There is no doubt in my mind that the Holy Spirit fell on them while in the Temple praying and waiting for the promise when the Holy Spirit came down. And the glory of the latter temple was greater than the former.

SPEND TIME WITH THE LORD TALK TO HIM LIKE A PERSON ASK HIM EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW AND WAIT FOR HIS ANSWER ANY TIME ANY DAY HE WILL LET YOU KNOW BECAUSE HE KNEW ALL ABOUT YOU.. YOU WILL FEEL HIS PRESENCE ASK FOR HIS BAPTISM OF HOLY SPIRIT BE ONE OF HIS FAITH WARRIORS AGAINST MODERN WORKERS OF DARKNESS AND WITCHES GOD BLESS Romans 8 New Living Translation Life in the Spirit 8 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power[a] of the life-giving Spirit has freed you[b] from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature.[c] So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. 5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.) 10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life[d] because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. 12 Therefore, dear brothers and sisters,[e] you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. 13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature,[f] you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children[g] of God. 15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.[h] Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”[i] 16 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. The Future Glory 18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. 22 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children,[j] including the new bodies he has promised us. 24 We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope[k] for it. 25 But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) 26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers[l] in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[m] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn[n] among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love 31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? 32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? 33 Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one-for God himself has given us right standing with himself. 34 Who then will condemn us? No one-for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. 35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[o]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[p] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Traditionally, the church has taught that Christ died on Friday, and he rose on Sunday but then that doesn’t allow for the sign of Jonah (3 days/3 nights). If you consider the feasts and the sabbaths of the feasts, then Christ was crucified on a Wednesday (which was the Passover) and after he died, that evening began the first day of Unleavened Bread which is a Sabbath. That’s why they rushed to bury him and couldn’t perform the burial traditions. He then rose on the weekly Sabbath (which is Saturday). From Wednesday to Saturday is 3 days/3nights - the sign of Jonah. He then presented himself as the first fruits to Yehovah on the first day of the week (Sunday) the wave offering. The stone was rolled away NOT so Christ could get out, but so Mary and others could see. Everything fits with Yehovah’s Feasts. These are rehearsals for His return! Don C. Harris (Think Red Ink) has a excellent message on the Creator’s Calendar.

If I’m not mistake the counting of the Omer began on the Sabbath before the wave offering which would be on the first day of the week, so 50 days from the sabbath would be on the first day of the week, but the Shavuot would be 7 7s from the wave offering which would be 49 days or seven weeks
