One of my phoenix's went down the other night when I was practicing, I could't tell you the amount of arrows I shot through the bow. They lasted all spring and summer. Its like anything else, you have to replace strings and cables once in a while and anyone can do this on these bows.

Hi, i've an oneida BLACK EAGLE, the process that you've showed to change the cables is the same? and When you have to change a damaged power cable you have to change both the power cables and also the yokes cables? thank you very much

So I just ordered a new Oneida long and the women I bought it from doesn’t have the modules that come with the bow..so I was wondering what pack of modules I need to buy from Oneida as I can’t get a response back from them. I shoot 29-30” draw with fingers but I want to try lower let off and play with draw length some

If you have a Phoenix, g module will suit you good, maybe 12’s also with a long, you should be able to find something on eBay or straight from the Oneida site Not sure what bow you have

Bring a small amount of duck tape .. Cut small strips to fit and hold cables in place on the came's . This tape acts like an extra hand to hold things in place..

Power cables first and then yokes. After you get one end done ... turn the limb bolt inward a turn or 2 and that'll keep tension on that end so that you can work on other end. No need for markers. Wish we could gain your business on aftermarket cables Honey creek archery

@@TRIBEDRAKE Thanks, I usually cant my recurve. I should be able with this one also. It will take some getting used to shooting off a rest since I usually shoot off the shelf. I just want the arrow close to my since I use my point to aim with.

Can the power cables be spray painted so they aren't so shiny?
@TRIBEDRAKE
@TRIBEDRAKE 2 жыл бұрын
I have investigated this and talked with people at oneida and its not recommended because wire rope cables can oxidize in the middle if they are painted because they need air flow and breathability. It could cause faster failure, I wouldn't worry about anything being shin However there are other companies that sell aftermarket cables and paint them different colors and have good luck with it. Just going with what I was told. heck you could even take a sharpie and color them black if you wanted

An will putting new cables on your bow change how it shoots?
@TRIBEDRAKE
@TRIBEDRAKE 2 жыл бұрын
not at all, put your brace height back to what it was , same draw weight and make sure the tiller is the same. these bows are so easy once you learn the basics, no bow press needed ever.

I also had a d loop installed when I first bought my onieda, an along with cutting my whisker biscuit I moved the top knot up alil bit an removes the rest of the d loop, so the top knot serves as a nock set since I don't have access to my nock sets an nock set pliers currently

I had a question about the G string cables I just installed them on my Phoenix didn’t know if you have shot these cables before and are they better than the factory Oneida cables I changed timing cable power cables and yoke cables it went fairly smooth took a few shots yesterday still pretty spot on no changes in the way they operate or feel just wanted your feedback if you have used these before. I reference your videos for anything I need to do keep them coming.I can let you know the lifespan of these G string cables I have shot the piss out of the bow And just the other day I heard that little crack and I knew immediately what it was. So I had to do my first cable swap. I have had this bow since April 10 of this year And shot it every day lots and lots of arrows
@TRIBEDRAKE
@TRIBEDRAKE Жыл бұрын
I shot them before, little smaller diameter cable, seems to give a hair more let off, when g string cables go you always hear the strands break, oneida factory cables are good also and smaller outer layers that will give warning signs of wear
@slock1095

The bow has been tuned to perfection very anal about that and it makes sense to be. I have also went through the whole bow and filed and polished around all cable turning points from the limbs to the cams power cable yoke cable areas and the cable only popped one strand and it was in the lower third of the power cable it did not even pop from the areas that I filed which was good that means I did something right.
