Is that where the English word "shirk" comes from, as in "to shirk one's duties"? Like, to overlook them, to pass them up, that kind of thing. They're spelled the same so I've been curious about that. So, for the list... 1. Shirk: I'm not a Muslim, but yeah, I get that worshipping THINGS, not God, is wrong. In my case, it depends on the definition of "God" though...? I believe that the accumulation of all goodness in the world is God, so to do good is to be closer to that eventuality. 2. Magic: You serious? I don't believe in magic. I'm not mocking: I'm just saying that anything that appears to be magical is, firstly, a trick of some sort, and, secondly, has a scientific explanation. 3. Murder: No kidding. 4. Usury: I've got four rules of general personal conduct: no theft, no waste, no violence, no misanthropy (i.e. to have a lack of faith in humanity). THIS IS RULE ONE. And people are impoverished because of it, even here in Canada. People are dying because of it. You know someone near me was ARRESTED for giving safe shelter to a homeless person overnight just a little while ago? Are you kidding me? I'm not a Christian either, but I like Jesus, and HE SAID to give safe shelter to people. And it gets cold up here in winter! Like, what's more important: you money, or someone else's life/ Get over yourselves, Capitalists. 5. Consuming orphans' wealth: YEAH, not gonna lie, as shown above, I get pretty pissed when disadvantaged people are taken advantage of. Especially if you're talking about a child, but this doesn't necessarily refer to a child. Both of my parents would be de facto "orphans" right now because all four of my grandparents are dead, but mom and dad can make their own money. I suspect this has more to do with people who can't make their own money, then...? 6. Running from a fight: I'm ambivalent on this one. I CAN'T fight, because I'm blind, nor will I even allow myself self-defense in the interest of my "no violence" rule, but to actually protect an innocent person...like, okay, for example, my nephew is five years old. You raise your hand to him, my "no violence" rule is out the window and I'm kicking your ass, but if your side is the aggressor (i.e. Israel beating on Palestine), like...if I were being ordered to murder innocent people, NO, I'm not doing it. My commanding officer can f*ck off. 7. Falsely accusing women of immorality: Yeah, guys...? Can we talk? I'm a woman. I was not "created to tempt you". I'm JUST a person. Let up. And get over yourselves, too: trust me, if you have that attitude, NO self-respecting woman will want to be with you. You see this kind of nonsense way more often from privileged white dudes then you see it from any other group of men, though. If you're that tempted just by a woman standing there, go home. You ALSO have the option not to look. Trust me, it does wonders for me. I'm only blind on one side, so if there's something I don't want to see, just turn my left eye to it, and bam, problem solved.

Bullshit. Shirk can NEVER be forgiven no matter what. Shirk can be forgiven if it wasn't committed deliberately. But if you knew"this is shirk" and you then committed it, Allah will NEVER forgive you. Only those who have pure belief in Allah can commit shirk. That is the truth concerning shirk. So don't listen to the scholars who say "shirk can always be forgiven before death no matter what. If you die with shirk, Allah will NEVER forgive you."
