Today we go pick up Cody’s 7930. It’s an import and it’s clean. John Deere gave me such a rash of deer poo 💩 he had to go through a dealer. Plus I didn’t have time.

You have to be dam proud Wesley that all those young men that you've had a big part in raising are following in your footsteps. We all know they see the struggles you go through are are still willing do it. My hats off to you my friend.

One thing about the T8s is knowing if the block had been replaced. We have 3 340 magnums and all have had recalled blocks. Other then that they have been pretty good tractors

When it comes to power on Fendt is easily identifiable, 828 stands for 8 - series and 28 + 0 = hp, so 828 is a 280 horsepower tractor. If you get a 936 it would be 360 horsepower, or a 715 is a 150 hp and so on.

Looks like Cody picked up a nice tractor. I hope that young man has much success in the hay business. And gives his uncle Wesley some good competition here at home.

FPT tier 4a/b engines are extremely clean , they can run 600hr oil intervals, a tier3 EGR engine from any manufacturer is inherently dirty do to the amount of soot being recirculated.

There is a local guy that does custom chopping and he has 4 of those femdt tractors 2 with tri mowers and 2 that he leaves hooked to big krone rotary rakes. He really likes the fendts for road speed because he works within about a 50 mile radius of home and they drive those tractors all over the place.

Fent are really easy to identify the hp, the first number is the series and the second two are the horsepower rounded to the nearest 10 so that one you where looking at is an 8 series and 280 Hp only place it gets a bit confusing is series relates directly to the physical size of the tractor, that don’t have models as such, you have to go of the year for that. An 8 series from 2020 for example shares absolutely nothing in common with the 8 series from the early to mid 2000’s but it could have exactly the same number if they had on the same hp in the series back then.

KX means it was 1st registered in at our DVLA (DOT) in the Milton Keynes region (K) by the Northampton office (X). 12 means is was registered between 1st March & 31st August 2012. Last 3 letters are random. The 1st letter is for 1 of 19 DVLA regions all over the country. Then the second is for the DVLA office that issues it. Most regions have 2 DVLA offices that deal with registrations, large areas have upto 5 like Scotland. So they split the the second letters up between the offices If the plate had a 5 or 6 as the 1st number is was registered between 1st September to 28th February.

You’ve said you prefer tracks on the skid steer it lasts longer doesn’t sink less $ tracks to tires. Wouldn’t that be true with tracked tractors vs tire(d) tractors? Some steer with back axle but that might be difficult with that W I D E tractor. Hoping the job in Carolina goes great. Thanx still lovin your videos from the left coast near Krapramento, California the Krapital

It not only about how fast a tractor/ equipment can go down the road, it also about how well the tractor/ equipment can stop with their braking systems. Wabco Tractor ABS on Fendt and New Holland. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZjFopaYqbGef7M (The book maximum speed for the 1290 HDP HS with hydraulic brakes on the tandem axle is 50km/h, about 32 mph.) At a mix of tar temperature, ambient temperature, route distance, traffic speed/ density, it can be preferable just to truck the machinery where it is required e.g cutting crews carrying the combines etc. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH3PemV-aJypd9k

Wonder how the parts prices compair now days. Between NH and the other brands. We got rid of all our ford stuff. Years ago. Parts were absolutely way out of reason!
@lukestrawwalker4 жыл бұрын
@@rogercarrico4975 Oh, NH has TOTALLY screwed everybody on parts. NH has made me a Deere guy, basically. NH got p!ssed when they bought out Ford Tractor Division back in the 90's and they couldn't come to an agreement on the parts network, so Ford kept it. NH had to subcontract Caterpillar Ag to handle their parts for them til they could get their own parts network up and running. OF course they jacked the prices on parts up into the stratosphere to pay for that, and they stuck with it ever since. To punish the Ford owners, they canned all the parts support for all the old Ford shortline equipment (implements and stuff) and basically gave the farmers running them the middle finger. NH's quality has gone to SH!T in the last decade and the prices they get for stuff is nearly as expensive as Deere, so why not just buy the Deere and get the better Deere quality and UNQUESTIONABLY better parts support?? CIH p!ssed me off years ago when they froze out parts for their older cotton pickers, and gave us the middle finger. Bought a newer one they outright LIED that they still supported the parts for it. Then the SOB dealer wanted me to buy an even newer one and I was like, "Yeah and how long til yall quit supporting parts for IT??" SO I bought a Deere picker from the neighbor and my parts problems were solved. Deere stands behind their stuff. Case/International Harvester/New Holland (CNH, now owned by FIAT (Fix It Again Tomorrow!) is about as bad as AGCO... so many bankrupt brands all bought up and run by a third-hand company and don't know whether they're coming or going. No thanks. I bled Blue for decades but CNH has turned me GREEN!!! Later! OL J R :)
