Noong mid 1990's may rate ang IBP na hindi pwede bababa ang singilan upang walang unfair competition. Appearance Fee noon sa RTC ay 500 pesos lang at sa MTC 150 pesos lang. Kung sikat ka pwede mataas pa nyan pero hindi pwede mababa diyan dahil sa IBP guidelines nga, no unfair competition. Acceptance Fee sa mga malaking law firm noon 100 libong pesos. Mga maliliit na law firm minsan walang acceptance fee. Sa mga bagohang abogado walang experience noon kung sa mga private firm na midsize 6,000. pesos ang buwan, sa PAO 8,000 ang APA 1 ibig sabihin assistant ka lang to the PA 1. Ang pinakamataas ang PA 2 na aabot sa 18,000. Ganyan din sa ibang mga departamento ng gobyerno. After 3 years sa PAO pwede kana mag apply sa Prosecutor's office ang starting 12,000. Pag may 5 years kana pwede mag apply as MTC judge. Ang sweldo noon ng MTC judge 20 libo lang at sa RTC 24 libo lang ang judge. Ngayon ang RTC Judge 250 libo a month na yata. Pero noon ang upa ng malaking 2 bedroom apartment 5,000 pesos lang, at 20 libo lang makabili ka na ng second hand kotse.
