2022 Naples Cars on Fifth Car Show

The rain stayed away for the 2022 Cars on Fifth car show in Naples Florida and once again there was a fantastic selection of cars on display. There were a few hiccups during the staging of the cars early in the morning and the crowd favorite " drive off " at 4:00 PM was fouled when the Police escort and traffic control failed their assignment creating a chaotic ending to the show. However, the charitable event once again raised over $500,000 for St Matthews House of Naples making the 2022 Cars on Fifth a successful event. I'm confident the few minor mishaps will be corrected for next year and its a safe bet I'll be there.
If I could change one thing about the show, I'd make the V.I.P tent viewable by the public but not accessible without the V.I.P ticket. I heard there were some incredible cars this year including a Ferrari 250 GTO and an F1 race car but they were all tucked away and hidden inside the big tent. The Celebration Exotic Car Festival always has an equally impressive lineup of elite cars and they create a separate section to display them out in the open but not accessible to the general public so everyone can at least see them. A lot of people didn't even know a Ferrari 250 GTO was at the show and it's a shame you had to pay triple the general admission ticket price to see it. Out of the several car shows I go to every year this is the only one that does this. I understand it's all for charity but for many it might be the only opportunity in their lifetime to see a 250 GTO and it's a shame to miss it because of money.
I'll add that in this video I have no shots of the V.I.P area and that's because of the way they were parked. All the cars were sitting door handle to door handle under a dark tent and it wouldn't have made for great video other than to show they were actually there and that wasn't worth the V.I.P ticket for the purpose of making this video. So far I've seen 10 of the 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs at various events and I'm betting I'll see the one that came to Cars on Fifth in a few months at the Celebration show. VIP should be a main attraction on 5th ave and not a block away where nobody sees it!!!

I agree. It's ok to secure the cars from people coming into close contact but to pack them like sardines hidden under a dark tent kinda takes away from the spirit of the event. Think of all the people that never new there was a 250 GTO at the show. I wish they could use that courtyard next to the Inn on Fifth to display the very best. Keep it roped off with security detail and let people get a look from the sidewalk. Only really tall photographers would be let in the display Ha!
