Not a lot of languages supported for some of the advertised feautures. And noticed the micro lags as well. It was too big and slippery too and the phone felt very hollow. Face recognition didn't work in not so perfectly lit environments. Finger print scanner sometimes needed 2 to 3 attempts. Audio was not balanced as well. I'm back to my one plus 6 now. The front camera is better and video calls usable again. I will change the battery and wait. I like the new OP11, but I can't test it as OP is currently not allowed to sell in Germany.

Not to nitpick but, you made an error regarding one of the tech specs about the OnePlus 11. In fact, the screen brightness maxes out about 1,300 nits and not 1,000 nits. That is really not going to affect HDR in any noticeable way. Furthermore, 1300 nits is plenty of brightness outdoors. Moreover, the OnePlus 11 has a 03 panel which is the most current in the industry. As far as the IP rating is concerned, OnePlus builds every phone to be the equivalent of an IP68 rating. However, in an effort to keep the cost of the phone down they do not want to pay for the certification. This is one of the things that they do in order to attain flagship killer status. In addition, they also pair away gimmicky features like certifications and wireless charging in favor of processing speed, advanced memory and incredible charging technology. Besides, who really cares about slow inefficient wireless charging when you can have 80 watt fast charging? What I really find amazing, our people that will actually pay $100 to $200 more for a phone just so it will charge slowly and less efficiently. Regarding the cameras, I feel at this point that it's not really a fair comparison. The OnePlus 11 just premiered and hasn't really had any updates. Conversely, the Google pixel 7 Pro has been out for a while longer and has had more than a few software updates. It seems like it would be a good idea to revisit this test in a few months. After all, very seldom is a phone perfect straight out of the box. I am really happy to see that OnePlus is returning to the roots of designing flagship killers. In my opinion, the 11 is definitely more of a flagship killer than a full-on flagship. I strongly suspect this is why they decided not to put out a pro variant this year. Strictly speaking, flagship killer versus flagship kind of makes this video seem like comparing apples to oranges. At the end of the day, they are really two different kinds of devices.
@JunkBondTrader Жыл бұрын
your point about the cameras/release dates... One plus is quite a bit newer, it should have a better camera out of the gate if it wanted to be better. Software updates won't make the OP camera to be better than the pixel 7 camera. Pixel 7 camera was excellent day 1.
@dr.fitprofessor1970 Жыл бұрын
@@JunkBondTrader I appreciate your opinion even if it's utterly meaningless to me. LOL. Besides, the pixel 7 has a very average flagship camera. Furthermore, it's being review that way all over KZbin. In addition, the 11 has already had 4 updates and the cameras are spectacular. The pixel 7 photos all look like the colors are over-saturated much like that crappy editing style that Instagram uses. Hasselblad colorescience is world-renowned and time-tested. This is why serious photographers use their equipment and why they have been creating the best cameras in the world since 1941. The colors are true to life and not over-saturated like the pixel or the iPhone. Frankly, I don't really know why you're trying to compare the base model Google pixel 7 to the OnePlus 11. The 11 competes more in the world of the Samsung Galaxy S 23 ultra and the xiaomi 13 Pro. Strictly speaking, if the Google pixel line wants to be taken more seriously they need to improve their hardware and get rid of that ridiculous Samsung exynos tensor G2 chipset. Until that time, they're always going to be a lower-end flagship.

Really, I don't know why some people don't want to tell the truth, even though the Google phone is considered bad and empty, and there is nothing that distinguishes it other than software
@JunkBondTrader Жыл бұрын
bad and empty? Pixel 7 is maybe best bang for buck of any phone. Easily IMO. It's one of the best reviewed phones in 2022. It's really not considered bad. I haven't heard one reviewer that didn't like it. From all comparisons I've seen, the OP camera way oversharpens, and the colour is way off in lots of shots. Like look at the comparison in this video, how can you honestly prefer the OP images? The front cam is perhaps close, but you can't beat the rear cam of the pixel 7. The front also has 4k on pixel 7. Even compared to iphone and galaxy, the Pixel 7 is considered the best front cam by many reviewers, and was voted #1 rear cam in Brownely's super comprehensive blind study survey. Also Macro shots are much better on Pixel 7. Front camera on OP is 1080p, 30fps. That's awful. Empty? Sure, you can make that argument. Few customization options. But it also has a handful of unique features, like it can put calls on hold when you're put on wait, and will ring you when the operator finally answers. Live transcription can record a text transcript of conversations happening in your vicinity. Voice typing is also an integrated hardware feature and works extremely well vs software implementations of any other Android phone. Nearly 2.5x as quick on paper, and in practice it's worked flawlessly and instantly for me. Also has quick phrases for Assistant, basically one word triggers for certain events like "snooze" will snooze an alarm without saying Hey Google, for example. "Decline" will hang up a ringing phone, etc. Also has free, built in VPN developed by Google and its really quick for a VPN. Also the base model is nearly as good as the Pixel 7 pro, and is the cheapest of all 3. I never get micro lags, perhaps that is a 7 pro issue. Also Google puts out updates every single month, and they have already improved the battery dramatically. As I said, easily the best bang for your buck. Maybe less features but its an incredibly smooth Android experience. For gaming, which I never do on a phone, the OP is for sure gonna be better. Anyway, it appears you're the one not wanting to tell the truth, or maybe you just don't wanna hear it. The pixel camera and display are both clearly better, it's almost not even subjective. The OP can have a bigger sensor, that doesn't necessarily translate into better images.

Why would anyone want wireless charging. It's like the dumbest thing. It's slow.. and your phone has to stay on the charger and you can't use it.
@JunkBondTrader Жыл бұрын
there are wireless battery pack chargers you can charge and stick to the back of your phone via magnet. And if you have a wireless charger near you you can charge every time you set your phone down. It's really not dumb, you just don't understand it. If you hold your phone 24/7, sure, it's dumb. Also magnet mounts with charging is great for the car.

Did you even actually TEST or physically compare the battery lives of these phones??? Almost EVERYWHERE you read that the Pixel has very bad battery life, like, it's one of its major flaws. While the OnePlus' battery life is being praised through the roof. There's supposed to be a difference of several hours of runtime. And again, you read (and see in the case of KZbin) this everywhere. You're literally the ONLY person I have come across so far, who called both phones essentially comparable with only a slight edge for the 11. When it's obvious that with the 11, battery life is one of the highlights while it's the absolut drawback on the Pixel.

I don't know why would you need a wired charge if you have wireless chargers all over the place where you live and work. Just rest it on them, and that's it. I think most of your voters don't have wireless charger, or don't have enough to feel the comfort of it. I don't have it, but I can only imagine how easy and practical would be instead of having wires around and decrease the wear and tear of your device by not using the plug 🙄

Coming from the Oneplus 8t I bought the pixel 7, and I must say that so far I'm not regretting it. 8:40 correction, if you truly care about photography Between these two phones just go with one plus because it offers better raw and built in pro mode for photo and video.
@JunkBondTrader Жыл бұрын
if you truly care about photography you would see the pixel 7 produces much more balanced shots. Colour is done much better. 4k 60fps on both front and rear cameras. One plus front cam is 30fps 1080p. That's ridiculous. And the worst part of the OP is the oversharpening. Video camera appears much better IMO on the Pixel. There's not one comparison video I've seen that ranks OP cam as better. That over yellowing is crazy. Night shots, Pixel 7 all day. Pixel 7 won a the super comprehensive blind survey that Brownly did, even beating out iPhone and Galaxy. So if you're saying OP is better cam than Pixel 7, you're saying it's the best camera on the market, which it absolutely is not.
@shyhandiq Жыл бұрын
@@JunkBondTrader u r not wrong. But again my point, support for manual control and raw, that is a different direction for photography. I m sure pixel supports raw but not manual control. Also for video, pixel is better for regular use, but also one plus offers manual control, log support in stock camera, And if u use filmic pro or mcpro24fps or any third party camera one plus offers better support for these apps.

There are so much promotional videos for OnePlus 11 where reviewers compare it to Pixel and they make it look like OP 11 shoots better or equal videos and photos as Pixel 7, obviously Pixel 7 is still better, and 1080p30fps videos from front camera on OP 11 is a joke.

Wow, that single core geekbench score on the Samsung as compared to the OnePlus is 36 percent higher. That's crazy for it being the same chip. I guess there was something to that whole 'for Galaxy' tag qualcomm gave it. I wonder if Samsung is doing some sort of trickery that oneplus (and Samsung, to be fair) had previously done to turbo the processor during synthetic benchmarks but then significantly underclock the processor in all other tasks to make the phone's battery last longer.
