I got s24 ultra for £710 brand new with student discount and black friday. The S25 Ultra will probably cost the same with trade in and discount. Why would anyone spend £899 on OnePlus which has now also dropped the charger and has poorer customer support?!

I have the CN version. I feel like I'm only able to access about 75% of what the phone can do. I'm sufficiently impressed to have ordered a global one. Right now it's difficult to flash the ROM but I reckon in 6 months or so it will have been cracked and I can get back to that whopping 24Gb of RAM. I've had Samsung flagships since the S3 and I'm glad I've finally made the leap away. OP13 is a great phone.*Update* I've switched to the global model for about a week now and while the experience between COS and OOS is not huge it makes a noticeable difference how smooth it runs with the Google environment and notifications are MUCH more reliable. I'm quite a heavy user so efficiency is important for me and I would say the ability to work seamlessly outweighs the extra RAM of the China model. I'll definitely keep the China model though, I'm going to find a use for all that power. Now, when does that OP Watch 3 Pro come out?!

Heya Stefenheif, network connection has been absolutely fine for me - I live in an area with slightly patchy mobile, coverage but I haven't had a single drop-out in the week I used the OP13 as my full-time phone. Video streaming and music streaming all worked fine, no buffering as long as I had a signal. Hopefully it'll work as well in your area too!

Just ordered the oneplus 13, waiting for it to be delivered. Upgrading from a galaxy s9 and I'm so excited to see the difference especially in battery life. I feel like this phone checks all the right boxes for me, excellent performance, beautiful display, os is clean yet customizable, massive battery and crazy fast charging, ip69 rated, charger in the box. I could honestly care less about the camera as long as its decent, this will probably be all i need and then some. A lot of people say this phone should be cheaper than it is, but the s25ultra is about 50%!! more expensive. No one can tell me that that price difference makes sense. I get that people don't like that they raised the price from last year, but it has an expensive brand new chip, new battery technology, better display, much better ip rating, so I think its justified. Also, all phones, all products for that matter, are going up in price. Its kind of like the car market where everyone is complaining that almost every car is over 50k. Yes, it does suck, but that's just how it is now.

Could you add a short test in the future where you put the phone on the back and tip on the screen? Would be nice to see how much new phones tilt because of the camera bumps. Especially with all the upcoming phones S25 etc.

Yep, I do try and do the wiggle test in reviews, but sometimes only remember if it shakes about a lot like the iPhone - this one wasn't too bad at all

I had the S24 ultra. After 2 weeks with the one plus 13 I have to say this is my favorite android phone, even better than the S24 ultra in my opinion. The OP 13 is so much faster and smoother than the S24 ultra. The charging speeds is ridiculous on this device. And while the camera may not be on the same level as the S24 ultra, the quality of the photos taken on the OP are close to that of the ultra. I'm pretty happy with the photos this camera takes. I have a feeling I'll be holding on to this phone for some years to come

I have to say at first I was a bit repulsed by the design of the One Plus 13, but that blue version with that cozy-looking material can really grow on a person. Still not crazy about the cheesy mini-disc camera module, but otherwise very nice design.

Extremely solid review, to say the least. Well done, chap. As always, truly. I'm not sure I believe that the night photography is quite up to par, but I'll take that hit for the performance vs price that OnePlus has been so stably successful with in my experience. One important point & question I do want to bring up though: If it can reach 120Hz, then why oh why doesn't it reach it in gaming? |(I have seen GSMArena complain about this very same problem and imho rightfully so)

This is the only one plus 13 review you need. When the launch happened I waited for your review before watching others. Tech Spurt is hands down the best cell/tech reviewer when it comes to products. Funny, honest, and concise always. I ordered the phone and will be replacing my pixel 9 pro for the OP13 (because I want to try 1+) Also really want that battery life and performance. Plus that screen tech is incredible. I cant wait. I got the Midnight Ocean with the Buds pro 3 coming. I'll be paring it with my pixel watch 3 (honestly love this watch too much).

I loved everything about the Oneplus 12, besides the screen. Now the 13R is stealing the show for me! After pixel 8 trade in, discounts, and taxes ($50USD). 325$ for a brand new phone with a brand new watch isn't bad at all! I sold my Oneplus 12r for 375$ about 1 month ago in aticipation of this release! I love the Oneplus13 but don't feel like spending a bit more for the newer features! Both solid phones, can't wait for you to Spurt all over the 13r when you get your hands on it!

Watching with My LG V60 now but I also bought Oneplus 13 Chinese Version while I was in Hong Kong in November and paid more for unlocked fee so that I can use it in Sydney Australia .. I Really Enjoy using it 😊 Love the AI Photo features which i don't have on LG .. So i am still using LG as Wifi Device for Watching KZbin and listen to Music and Oneplus 13 as my new phone and Take Photos 😊 I Do Love Both of these phones 🥰

899 is a good price, it has a 6000 mah silicone carbon battery, which has already beat the iPhone 16 pro max and the 24 ultra, the s25 ultra has the same old 5000 mah, the oneplus has the same chip that the 25 ultra will have, the 13 also has 2 vapor chambers, way faster charging, better screen, and I forgot to mention that silicone battery degrades less than the standard lithium used in the samsung.

In short: I have OP 12 16/512 and OP 13 hasn't gone far, meaning not a leap, in order to consider the upgrade. OP 12 is simply great, OP 13 is good upgrade if you have money and OP 11 or lower, else 12 is better option all-in-all. Will wait for OP "next" to make an upgrade and hope it will have Elite 2 along with substantial camera modules upgrades. Yes, please make it lighter along with smaller camera bumps. Just my thoughts.

Well I went and ordered it. To be fair it was this or waiting to see what Samsung were going to present, but if the leaks are true the Samsung may just cost me an arm and a leg money wise. Plush the old iPhone was due for an update. I’m writing this on an iPhone 8 Plus. That old. It served me well, but the last year the battery really started to show its age. This’ll be my first OnePlus and my return to Android after 7 years on IOS. Hope it’s as good as the reviews painted it.

@ItsKaranJolly Yeah, it arrived on Friday. Changed it to 100% and downloaded several apps, played with settings and camera and watched YT for a few hours. Yesterday it passed the 24h mark and still had about 25% battery left. As I type this it has been 16 h since I changed it for a second time to 100 and I've spent 2 and a half hours of them browsing social media and it's at 79%. They were out of the blue version so I got the white and it's really nice to the touch and very pretty. Sound is quite nice too, well anything would be an improvement from the iPhone 8, but it's definitely good enough where I'm at home and can listen to songs without immediately wanting to turn on my PC and hear the song on my Edifier speakers. The camera is good, again anything would be an improvement to the 12MP of my old 8 Plus, but the zoom shots are pretty nice. Overall I'm satisfied, but the camera was never my main focus. Display looks beautiful, I love looking at it. Everything opens super fast. The phone itself is very light and thin which I like Also I love the small things like the phone telling me "Yo, Facebook is draining the battery in the background without permission, want me to rein him in?" But above all I'd forgotten just how much I like android. Like the iPhone 8 Plus was a gift. And while it was a good phone, it's still quite fast even almost 8 years after release, I used it rather begrudgingly. I missed my android buttons. Oh, it feels so nice just having the buttons. I haven't tried gaming. I game on my PC, so no comment on that. Though I did install Yu Gi Oh Master Duel, but I haven't tried playing a match on it. But it's not a demanding game either, it worked on the 8 Plus. To TL/DR it: Great battery, lovely display, satisfactory sound, light and thin, camera is fine, fast and reactive. I'm happy with it.

Another good review, Can I just ask, can you confirm what I have been reading in other places that the UK version no longer comes with a charger in the box? I believe the US version still has one so wanted to be sure.

Hi, yep the version delivered to the UK doesn't come with a charger any more, which is terrible! (Or indeed one of those clear cases you used to get with OnePlus phones).

@urn thanks for confirming. That's a great shame as it was the charger in the box that really made them stand out.. now they are just another one of the masses making the customers pay extra to be able to get the best charging speeds. Such a shame. May as well look at the flagships.
