Bro for the multitasking (RAM) test the iPhone didn't actually keep those apps in the background, what you were looking at was just a screenshot of the app when you left it, if u were to tap on it and wait, the iphone would take a few seconds to refresh the app again, OnePlus however 100% actually left the app where it was when you left it, so id give the entire win to oneplus.

You won't see it in apps that had no changes (ex photoshop was still at the same spot) but in the car app (8th), the red poker app (10th), and if you want, the clock app, you can see it instantly go from the screen shot, to the actual state of the app. If they weren't loaded, it would have gone from the screen shot, to the apps loading screen, but it wasn't the case here.

All the other usage scenarios that were run by other reviewers on other channels showed OP5 beating iPhone by a considerable margin. Even his own tests in the end of the video show that OP5 is faster with most individual apps and in browsing which is much more representative of what an average user does on a daily basis.

Great video. I just got word that my girlfriend will let me review her LG V20. lol. I also have the iPhone 7 coming in house soon. Android is winning. But I do not like benchmarks. I dont think normal people will care about a benchmark score. Mainly on cameras or battery and memory and the price and which carriers they can bring the phones to. I am also an android user and I use a OnePlus 5 and I have tried using these apps on my phone and it showed almost the same results thats because Android is an Open Source whereas iOS is a Closed Source OS. As long as you are doing stuff like rendering the iPhone will win every time. This makes the test much more unrealistic. Without that the iPhone would still be faster, but not that much. EDIT: As you've seen later, when it comes to the more realistic situations (still pretty unrealistic) you can see, that the OnePlus is faster. So the most people will just open apps and keep them in the memory and so (for me) this is the first Android Smartphone for years, that has beaten the iPhone. WE'VE DONE IT.

The reason these android makers can produce phones for so cheap is they don't have to develop software. They find the cheapest components available and slap android on it and ship. That's why there are so many android phone producers.

in developer options on Android, you can change animation speed between clicking the home button and opening apps or turn it off altogether. that can help with the Android tests. but considering how good the oneplus is for the cost, its still the way to go

People are still quoting specs? It is abundantly clear that the iPhone has mastered optimization. Android has all these bells and whistles but it's a very poorly optimized OS. That's why Android OEMs and users are always quick to quote specs as an X-Factor - because it's greatly needed to run the OS. There is a reason why iPhone users are so insanely dedicated to their brand - it's because it literally just works. No app crashes, no random reboots, no overheating issues, no rogue apps draining battery, just a fluid and efficient user experience. I've been an Android user for 7 years and quite frankly I'm fed up of making excuses for them. Time for Google and these OEMs to get their act together.
