In the Wit Rig battery replacement video they place and adhesive film around the open rim of the cover, which apparently replaces the sealing glue. Do you recommend using that too?

well, you will find little difficult to find the pre-cut adhesive for devices like oneplus. Instead, you can use b7000/t7000 glue

Thanks for the vid. How do you know if you applied enough heat? Should I use a thermometer?

Well our advice is to apply heat about a 1 minute on 80c, if not little bit more

@@DIYGeardo sounds very accurate. What if I'm using a hair dryer? Any tips with that? I was thinking, getting a thermometer and sticking it to the phone at the same time applying heat, should I wait till it reaches 80 degrees and then try to poke in?

No it will not damage, just apply the heat carefully and take out slowly. Patience is very important,

Does the back panel glue has to replaced once it's opened... Since it is heated to remove the back panel... Panel sticks back without any additional changes ?

Well High capacity battery right, well it depends on the supplier who manufactured it. If they can guarantee there are no side effects, then you can. for ex - Just there are many for High capacity battery for iPhones, Those are tested and fine, But for oneplus 6 we are not too sure.

Hello, I replaced my battery on a oneplus 6 and now the battery percentage is glitchy. When i fully charge the phone to 100%, after an hour it drops to 1% and then stays there for the rest of the day. Sometimes when i reboot, the percentage changes to 1% or 100% too. Anyone has any ideas why or how to fix it? Thanks you

Try re-callibrating your battery percentage with "easy battery callibration" app from the playstore this usually works
